HP Laptops are the BEST!

17 inch Envy HP laptop

The display is crisp and just the right size for me. The 17 inch model makes this a large laptop. Not ideal for travel, but perfect for entertainment. I do use external speakers for better sound. HP does have good support, so I felt safe purchasing an open box item.

good, solid laptop

Screen is bright, with accurate color and HD resolution. It is also a touch-screen. Main negative point is that the laptop is a power hog. It uses a lot of power on battery, and doesn't last very long.

I recently purchased this laptop, 9/6/21 and at first windows and other programs were functioning ok. Well that was until I opened zoom only to discover that the software affects the microphone. I tried taking it in for service only to be told that although I purchased extended 3 yr warranty, the manufacturer warranty does not cover this issue. And of course my only option is to kick out another $200 to have someone take a look at it. Not only that, a general scan by the GS determined that nothing I downloaded was faulty, so it maybe and internal software issue not allowing all installs to function properly. Really!! I literally bought the device and put it away to use for classes beginning 10/11/21 and just started using it last week. Im very disappointed. By the way shoppers, after 10-14 days no return. My advice open the box same day and test everything right away. 3rd computer purchased from BestBuy you’d think there’d be some customer loyalty… Nope
