Writing my review on this product ON this product. I love this laptop, runs well and I've had no issues with the touch screen (my last laptop touch screen was awful) The only thing keeping this from being five stars is sometimes if I'm statically charged and I use the fingerprint scanner the entire thing shuts down.

I got this computer for gaming, Sims4 to be exact and I run a small business as well. This computer has great storage and my game doesn’t lag, I love the organization of the program. I got a free month subscription of McAfee virus protection. . I highly recommend this laptop! 17.3 big beautiful clear screen!!

I have purchased this same basic HP ENVY laptop for years and have always been satisfied. This model has performed to expectations. It does have a tendency to run hot, so the fan is sometimes a bit loud and distracting. Periodic re-boots help with this issue (or seem to).

This HP is great, performs really well. The solid state hard drive boots up in less than 30 seconds, the 17" screen size is a must for my uses. Also like the fingerprint log in key that was added. The processer is fast and is just what I need for stock trading. Very satisfied with this HP, Envy.

I love my HP Envy laptop! I provides great performance in an attractive package with a large screen. I use it with an external monitor for even greater extended viewing. It does not have an internal optical drive so I use a blue-ray external drive connected to one of the USB ports.

Although it is still new to me, it hasn't made me curse at it. It is quick, and for the size (17.3) it is quite light. I like that it is touchscreen, and has backlit keyboard. I wish it had a Ethernet plug-in, but the wifi works well. All in all, another great HP product.

Sweet and quite laptop. Very fast. Display is beautiful. Lighted keyboard is nice and you can change the intensity or turn off. That helps in different light. No complaints. You can change the Function Key setting in the Bios. Very happy with this machine and you won't go wrong buying it.

Overall a great purchase! A bit clunkier than some of the other models but the screen is huge and the computer is a great value for the price. Great for at home work - fast and reliable. May want a smaller screen if this is being used a lot while traveling for work.

The laptop is as expected, great! The shopping experience with Best Buy, not so much. Found an open box unit in "excellent" condition, 50 miles from home, and made the purchase with the promise it would be ready for in-store pick up in one hour. When I arrived at the store I was told they were still looking for the unit? Waited another hour at the store while they located the unit which fortunately appeared to be clean. It did not, as described, have everything that would have come in a box if new, and Best Buy made no apologies or concessions for their lack of organization or the inconvenience they imposed on me. Oh, they did offer to extend the "free" virus protection an additional six months. But, as a Total Tech subscriber I am already covered. Thanks for nothing!

Excellent laptop. High powered, able to do anything asked of it. Wife requested this model and thought it was too big when we got it (it is big). Since it is used on a desk almost all the time she is. Ow fine with it. Setup was easy and straightforward. Would definitely buy again.

Every few hours the sound glitches and screen goes black. The battery life is not long lasting. It gets real hot even when there is a cooling fan/stand used. I know most laptops have this issue so I cannot say whether or not this is a good or bad computer to purchase. It is over priced for wha this has to offer in my opinion. The screen crack within 14 days just by ole omg and closing it. Not sure what that is all about. If fact I had to turn it over to geek squad to fix and I have only had it for alittle over a month.

Power button would be nicer in a location by itself, as it is it is hidden in the row of function keys. Backlit keyboard is great, but the color contrast of the keys and light is poor. Other than that it is a fabulous laptop, very responsive. The only time lag is internet connection issues, not the computers fault.

This was just what I needed!! Storage space, easy to start up, versatile, FAST!! My last one was old and had no storage space. Great screen, I primarily just use it to look something up of Google, check email, job hunt, research products. I feel that this is a great investment.

This is one awesome laptop. From the first day opening the box, I couldn’t be happier. The speed to start up is great and the battery life is pretty good too. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great laptop with a 17.3 inch screen. Enjoy it!! You won’t be disappointed.

Got this little jewel for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. Couldn't have gotten her a better gift. She believes that this is the best computer that she used. Although, it doesn't come with a DVD, she wouldn't change anything about it. The screen is large with great resolution.

We use it for school and office work and it performs flawlessly. Videoconferencing is great with the built-in camera, mic, and speakers. The 17" screen helps with working on documents. The three USB ports are useful. It was pretty easy to set up. It looks quite elegant, too.

2nd HP laptop in a row after several Dells. I should have purchased on sale, but procrastinated. Still, am not disappointed in any way. Lightning fast, great 17 display, easiest setup ever ... literally just plugged in, it read all connections to everything. Awesome.

I’m very pleased with this laptop. The 17” screen is fantastic. I’ve only had it for a week but it has a fast processor and has been perfect for what I need it for- word processing, general emails etc. The sound quality on it was a pleasant surprise, too, incredibly clear.

All and all it's a well rounded laptop. Not really a gaming computer but enough horsepower to do most tasks. Fans are a little bit annoying when system is under load. Amazing how thin they make this. Went with 17 since I don't travel much, but when I need to I can.
