We selected this unit for a couple of reasons: first, because it had more than one USB port (because I really cannot do a touch pad very well when I need to plug in a USB device); second, because the hinge appears to be strong and I don't expect it to break like my previous computer did, with its two tiny hinges.

H.P. Envy is one of the best laptops I have purchased, I love all of the bells and whistles that are attached to it. I wish the letterings and numbers on the keypad was more readable instead of blending in so lightly with almost the same color of the laptop itself, but at least I have the backlight. Thanks!!!

This is my second HP Envy 17". Last one was a very solid performer but over time it had to take quite a bit of travel abuse and time for an upgrade finally came. The NEW HP Envy 17" is proving to be just as capable with many technical improvements. I will likely remain an HP person for now and into the future.

Excellent computer. Love it. Got this to replace my first ever Dell (hard drive crashed after only 3 years!!!). Will never leave HP again. All the features are intuitive, responsive. Love the look. Although I've only had it a month, my last HP lasted over 10 years and it's still working beautifully.

This is by far the fastest and smoothest computer that I've ever purchased. The CPU is super fast, it's just incredible! Easy to log in and set up, the display is super crisp. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for a laptop

I bought this laptop for my daughter who is going off to college for her freshman year. I bought a similar model HP laptop and it lasted all 4 years of her high school career, and I have high hopes for this one. She has been very pleased.

This is a good size laptop with large screen for business use.

I was looking for help with buying an extension cord. Although there wasn't a 25 foot cord in the store, the associate went out of her way to give me the complete info available on the nearest store having such an item. I ended up bu ying multiple extensioncords, but I know I was give the ujtmost in service.

Computer seems to work fine so far. Found similar model for 2/3 less on HSN. I did have to call back to get Office 365 installed. Thought I bought it up front, but was given Office for home/student. Still waiting for refund that apparently I have to walk into the store for during a pandemic even though it was put on my Best Buy card.

The screen is big and the picture is great! I only buy HP!

So we recycled the old desktop in favor of this gorgeous laptop! It is an upgrade from heaven, via Best Buy! The staff at Best Buy is terrific, they helped us step by step to the ideal fit to replace that old desktop! Service and support are excellent, we are very satisfied! Our thanks to everyone!

East set up. Great screen size, storage of files is simple.

Have only been using it for a few days. Geek Squad excellent work of transferring information & setting Envy up for immediate use. All attachments for the computer working so far. Only complaint is the difficulty of contacting Geek Squad when unable to understand directions offered through website.

I ended up returning this because I am a Mac girl. The computer itself was great value for the money. The screen was big and touchscreen. I just don’t like Windows products. I thought I’d give it a try because I wanted a bigger screen and I just couldn’t do it.

Purchased as an open box and certified by geek squad. Laptop has a loud fan that revs with minimal processing and when the laptop is not in use. Sounds like a jet engine revving up. Unfortunately I did not return this right away due to time constraints and waited until problems escalated to the computer randomly shutting off with a PC watchdog timeout blue screen. I purchased a three year Geek Squad protection plan and also did not realize that only covers hardware and not software. If a quick hardware scan finds nothing then you are sent home with your loud fan problem and told to contact the manufacturer. Moral of the story is certification by GS might not mean too much and this model has known problems with a loud fan. A quick YouTube search will show you how bad it can get. Also I found more helpful info in online forums than with the hour I spent on the phone with HP technical support. I purchased the geek squad protection plan so that I wouldn’t have to do any of this and I spent a lot of money on this computer and wasn’t anticipating having to troubleshoot these problems on my own. Thumbs down for HP and Geek Squad. I’m currently waiting for hear from Best Buy. It’s a hassle so just avoid.

I needed a new CPU for a WFH job. After researching for about a mth, opted to get this laptop. The boot up is extremely fast. The backlit keyboard is a great feature. For laptop speakers they are awesome, can play music and hear from one side of the house to the other. I would definitely recommend.

This has been a great laptop. After having knee surgery, I needed something other than a desktop computer because getting around was a problem. This machine fit the bill, it's thin, lightweight, and easy to carry. The touch screen is a nice feature, too. It was easy to get set-up and start using.

This HP Envy 12 GB laptop was a Christmas gift to my wife to replace a failing six year old HP 16 GB envy. My wife is very pleased with the laptop and finds it to be much faster and capable than her old laptop. The price was very competitive and my wife could not be more pleased.

Original Dell 17.3" I was interested in was not in the store or warehouse. Therefore I settled for this HP 17.3 ". Currently meets expectations. Love its sleekness, clear picture, screen size and speed. Installed several apps. Charges quickly, Still new to me. Seeking to learn more about it. Microsoft Office nice addition.

I needed to replace an HP laptop we have had for a handful of years that had trouble with the screen unplugging within the unit. We really prefer HP products so I was not hesitant at all to get another HP. I really like it.
