I bought this laptop for school for me, because my daughter uses my desktop for her school. It was overwhelming at first looking for a laptop, because well I felt like most laptops could do just about everything you want on there with an exception for heavy gaming hardware. It does have a descent graphic cards, and me personally thought it was nice to have a gateway from school work to play some of the games I have on my desktop. Mind you I know I can't play it on ultra settings lol. But nice to just get on and play for that break from school. Webcam is actually pretty good quality given it being on a laptop, as well as sound. Resolution on the screen is great no conoliants there. It does have a touch screen, not something I really use personally. Battery life I wish would be a little longer, but it also depends on what programs your using as to some drain it more. Like I said before, overall am satisfied with the laptop, however, I didn't have much expectations other then I wanted a 17' screen. I would recommend this laptop, but I feel as though I could have found one cheaper to fullfil my needs in a laptop.

Only reason I gave it 4 insead of 5 stars is because I had to return the first one. Got it home plugged it in turned it on, got the HP logo fo about 10 seconds, then black screen. The audio came on prompting me to do the initial set up, but the video never came on even after two restarts. Took it back (June 3rd 2020-middle of this pandemic) and the employees were VERY helpful. Did an exchange for the same model quickly easily - awesome staff! Now the second one no problems at all. Bought this for my wife to do her daily computer work and play a few games watch netflix ect. Graphics clear, smooth and vibrant. Sound quality is suprising for a laptop - very clear good bass. Does warm up quite a bit running her games, but thats to be expected with a laptop, easily countered with a cooling mat or platform. So far shes ran it on battery for 7 hours and only used 42% charge. The solid state drive makes it load up in seconds. Does have bluetooth built in.

Good graphics. Fast as any high production laptop I've ever owned. Just don't like the fact the fan kicks on so often, but beats burning it up!!

with classes being switched to online and no ability to get into stores to look at new computers I did my research on what was available right at that moment in my store. This was available and with 18 months interest free financing it made it very affordable with everything going on costing more to go to school woth the extra need of things. This computer is amazing runs fast has a good amount of storage the picture quality is awesome!!!! Definitely would recommend!

The speed of this computer is much, much better than my old computer. A real plus. The ease of switching from one program to another is also a plus. One thing I don't like (and not sure how to change this) is that in Excel, the background is black and the text is white. I've tried to change this, but have not been successful. White text on black is hard to read. Overall, if the Excel background/text color could be resolved, I would be extremely happy with this purchase.

Lighting fast, boots up fast. Time from power off to displaying a web page is about 10 seconds (time to press power-on button, desktop displays, click on Edge, web page loads). Everything works well, screen is very good, doesn't get hot, barely any fan noise. Cons: There is a combination of problems that seriously limits its effectiveness. First, when open, the bottom edge of the screen digs into your leg, if laptop is on your lap. So I tend to push it out far enough that the sharp part just falls off the front of my knees. But, on the silver model there is hardly any contrast on the keyboard keys and I can't see the keys well without using the lighted keyboard option. However, with the laptop pushed out a little it means I'm looking at the keyboard at an angle and the lights under the keys are clearly visible and make it hard to see the keys. The silver keyboard with gray lettering needs the perfect indirect lighting in order to be usable without the lighting option. I wish I had gotten the black model.

This laptop is still new to me, but so far I can't say anything negative about it. I have it fully set up, linked up and even sharing files with my other laptop, seamlessly. Built-in camera and mic, plus ports for all external hardware all function perfectly. It's a solid machine. It's much larger than what I'm used to, but I use it similarly to a desktop while it still fits in a large sleeve for portability. I still have my little laptop for travel.

Great computer. Kids use it for school on a daily basis. Screen is ckear and bright. Computer is fast.

I bought this computer a month ago, as my main business computer. So far it has been fantastic. The speed of the machine is crazy fast. Now that comes from a person who is used to QuickBooks loading in 5 minutes. On this computer, QB loads, in 12 seconds. This is after I have put all of programs and files back on this computer. It is still this fast. I love the fingerprint login, which was easy to setup. The screen graphics are crisp and beautiful.

I love my new HP - ENVY 17.3" Touch-Screen Laptop with Intel Core i7, 12GB Memory, 512GB SSD + 32GB Optane. I use it daily for probably 5-6 hours tracing my family tree, looking at my emails & searching the internet. The only thing that I didn't like was It took a few days to get used to where the on button was. But that not an issue with the computer! Lol...

Really like my new HP-Envy. Very fast and like the large screen. Perfect for working away from home.

Finally I decided to upgrade my old 17inch Toshiba laptop ( P75-A7200) because WiFi card is type N and occasionally was dropping out.So far I like almost everything about my new HP-ENVY except that my 8 year old Toshiba have better more brighter colors screen for my taste. Otherwise speed and all other features are great. I do not use touchscreen but it is nice to have it just in case.Interesting that I couldn't find removable battery laptop. I would prefer removable battery if I had a choice.

Pretty decent laptop for the money. Bought for work and it handles everything at a decent speed.

I love the big screen but this laptop doesn't fit any regular backpack . This is also kinda heavy.

Bought the laptop for two purposes. Had a project that required Excel in Windows vs. Mac. As a real estate brokerage CFO, I want to use it to show to our agents/brokers how to use a large touch screen in client presentations. Most of our agents/brokers rely on smart phones. It does a great job for both uses! Just for clarity, it is heavy. If you are a heavy user, battery life is a bit limited. But, $ for $ it is a great buy! Thanks Best Buy! g

So my work gave me a work laptop and ive noticed its very slow with a few things. So i bought my own laptop after alot of research i chose this. It lasts about 5 hours without a charge so i can post up half my shift on the couch. And it is super fast. A macro that took 25 mins to load on my work laptop took 4 mins on this laptop. Super efficient havent see any complaints yet on it except maybe the fan gets a little loud when overworking.

Great laptop for everyday use and home office. Not recommended for avid gamers. I am only able to have 1 decent game downloaded at a time as most games anymore are 90GB + (ARK being my present choice). The display and sound are wonderful, audio does seem to be a bit quiet when I use this laptop to play media for groups but a quick attachment to speakers is an easy solution for that dilemma. Security integration is top notch!

Good laptop, build is nice. Keys difficult to see in certain light conditions. Difficult to upgrade or add storage. Opening the case requires knowledge of the case and care in opening. Impossible to find SATA hard drive cable to free SSD drive location. Good laptop, good price if you don't intend to upgrade or add storage.

Great laptop. Fast! Great video/sound quality. Sleek look and feel. Love the backlit keyboard.
