HP = POOR PREFORMANCE
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You would think with an i7 processor and NVIDEAGeForce card this HP would be a top preformer but NO! In fact my i5 out preformed this laptop hands down., If you want a laptop that does not choke when you run a lot of programs this is not for you.

Not good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased 5/13/2020. Stop working 6/7/2020. Bestbuy has only 15day warranty so had to call hp and after going back and forth doing test, they say ship it to them because it is not working. Sent back 6/11/2020. Since it will not cut on and they will not save anything from your harddrive what ever is on the computer is gone. Will update once problem is solved. Very, very, very, inconvenient.

Not quite what I expected
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I buy a product with the same nomenclature (HP ENVY) as one I've owned before, it is a disappointment when I pay similar money and receive less. The Blueray DVD hardware no longer exists, and the TB disk drive as well.

N/A
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first computer quit working after 4 days. I had to return and so far the new one has lasted 5 days. I had to reinstall all my software and trust me it was a chore.

Don’t buy “open box” laptops
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never buy open box laptop. Learned my lesson. Open box deals are usually a great deal for anything but laptops. Bought this because the only defect listed was a minor scratch and it was almost 1/2 the price of the original price. Specs said it has a 512gb ssd, brought it home and worked great, for the first couple hours. Then needed updates, “new” laptop didn’t even have enough storage to complete updates. Realized it only had around 50gbs. Returned it and bought a dell. Never again

Physical Appearance is great!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop looks amazing and at first I was very happy with my purchase, only to then realise that one of the inner disk drives had been Bit-Locked by the previous owner and unable to open. As well, the wifi adapters had no usable driver, the mouse and touchscreen was immobile, and there was no audio. It really bothers me how such a mistake could be sold to me as “functional.” Even upon ‘restarting,’ the factory-new computer as prompted, no problems have been addressed or solved. Very unhappy.

Decent laptop for light loads
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not enough power and ability to render videos and have multiple apps open. It was "good enough" but not great. For the price it was decent.

Not Good if it Won't Charge
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was okay while it worked. After two months, the AC adapter, apparently, went bad, so my computer will only charge after the battery is totally drained and the computer is closed. If I open the computer, charging stops. I don't think it's the AC adapter, but HP support says it is. Sadly, they don't have a replacement adapter in stock. So, I have this laptop that's two months old and practically useless. It's past time when I can return it to BEST BUY, so I'm stuck with a pretty expensive paper weight.

Was great.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop until it spontaneously blew up. Best Buy said there was water damage and it the repair station couldn't fix it. Loved it until it stapped working.

HP
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my new computer, but it is very very very slow. I called Geek Squad, but it is still slow as molasses. I will probably bring it in to have someone look at it.

BLURRY terrible nightmare - DO NOT BUY
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.$1300 garbage and I'm sorry I bought it. DO NOT BUY THIS. The text and most everything else (including all icons and software interface parts) are unbelievably blurry (it isn't on my other laptops and I do not wear glasses) and give me a headache. I've tried everything - changing to different resolutions, ClearType, high contrast mode. I've had to magnify the text several hundred percent, which leaves things off screen and I have to try to hunt them down. It only becomes crisp-clear at 500% magnification, which leaves literally 1-2 words visible on screen. So now it's magnified in between - it's still blurry and yet things are constantly hidden out of view off screen (like buttons I need to click). The trackpad also wobbles when you're moving your fingers on it. DO NOT BUY THIS. I'm not going to go through the hassle of returning it during covid, but I'm bummed I wasted my money. I can't believe this laptop, for this price, didn't come perfect. This is the most expensive computer I have purchased and I thought it would be a safe blind buy due to the HP name and the price. I'm sad I was so expensively wrong.

New HP laptop critical error message after update
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the computer for 3 weeks when it did a system update. After the computer rebooted it gave me a critical system error message. Best Buy said they could send it off to off to HP but I would be without a computer for at least 3 weeks. I had to pay out of pocket to have it fixed right away. Very unhappy with HP

Cooling fan and mouse pad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As soon as I turned on my new laptop a message saying the cooling fan isn't working properly and can cause damage. I troubleshooted it and it still popped up 2 more times once I powered it on. Then the mousepad stopped working and I did a troubleshoot test on that and it failed. I payed too much money just to turn it on and already have issues. I recently had an hp and loved it and decided to upgrade. Now I'm not sure if I should of bought another one.

Could be a good product.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this computer less than six months and I completely went out on me. Had to send to shop for repairs. Not sure if the cost is worth the trouble.
