I have had the same laptop, except it was 15" and also purchased open box, for 2 years and it has been great. I purchased this 17" laptop July 21, 2022 and was not able to set it up until this week, 9/26/22. It is lagging very badly when trying to open the internet, trying to change settings in the display settings, opening Microsoft Word, etc. Online Chat/tech support says I have to take the computer in to my nearest BB location. My nearest location is 2.5 hours away. Not very practical. They won't bump me up the chain to try to get this just out of the box computer up and running. I'm told I have to go to the nearest store and try to get a warranty on it. Pretty frustrating after spending 4 hours or so setting up everything on the computer. Now I have to drive 5 hours round trip to see if they will help me at the counter.

stopped working in 3 months - not sure why but couldn't be fixed

This was absolutely the worst windows machine I have ever used. Freezing video calls, 15 second load time for any application... This lackluster machine was returned within 3 business days. It should have been a next day return.

Didn't have a big selection, had to settle because I didnt want to wait.

Windows 11 is way different and it's a chore to find things you save and scan

Worst laptop I've ever bought. Graphics are horrible. Fuzzy with bad colors. Solid state drive supposed to be so much faster than hard drive, but to me there is little difference. This model has two little plastic tabs on the lid that I guess are supposed to make "feet" when lid is opened. Their edges are sharp. They stab you in the leg if you put the laptop on your lap and gouge the surface you put it on if you don't. Windows 11 is the only OS option...it is a disaster. And, of course, there is little to no support info available so trying to fix/figure it out is impossible.

Just had this delivered, got through setup and discovered that the internal antenna may be broken. The 2.4 GHz range is worse than the 5 GHz. Basically unusable in our house unless sitting next to router. Currently resetting to return to Best Buy.

Had an appointment to have the Geek Squad come over to transfer information from my old computer. They never showed up and never called me to let me now that the appointment was cancelled. Now I wait another three weeks for my next appointment. In the interim, my new computer is not being used.

Computer keyboard seems to map the “1” key to fn1 and can’t be disabled. So every time I type anything with a “1” in it it opens “help” even after disabling fn keys. Tech support couldn’t help. Windows support couldn’t help. Returning it for store credit and will buy a dell or asus which have worked for me before.

It works very slowly. Take a long time for updating and restarting. Battery life is not good

It was an open box . It was defective . Making a lot noise. It was not check by anyone before put back in the shell

Returned it after a few days of use. The touchscreen kept going crazy.

Laptop came perfect. Speed, storage, lightness. Screen is big but not too big. Light up option for keypads come in handy.

good deal, was Good value and easy to set up and get running

Extremely disappointed charger cord faulty won’t charge

I just received notice today from GEEK SQUAD repair the motherboard and SSD was bad and it will cost approximately $650 to repair. I purchased this in January, 2022. I would not purchase again. Time to look at APPLE.

Piece of crap. Don’t buy it. I bought end of March and now the operating system is corrupt in august. This is the second HP that’s hit the garbage can

Was an open box purchase. Have hardware errors that result in the computer continually crashing. Not much better than a paper weight.
