Fast, lots of memory and Hard drive The i7 processor can definitely handle heavy multi-tasking. Battery seems good for running multiple applications all day. Have had to plug it in on my lunch break, and that's it. The touch screen is pretty convenient

The laptop is great when it works, which is most of them time(and have yet to be interrupted in any task other than using Chrome browser). However, possibly due to using the new Win 10 system, it does have what appears to be system problems. After multiple attempts at fixing with both MS support and Best Buy service to no avail, I've decided to just wait around half a year to see if win 10 updates fix them, if not, I will have to use my factory warrenty somehow. As to the specific problem, up to a few times a day, to a minimal of once every other day(thus far), some processes cease to function and are unable to be killed or properly restarted via task manager. When this happens, putting the computer to sleep will cause the computer to hang and unable to sleep and it will shut down after about 2-3 minutes in that state. One of the most visible was Chrome, possibly due to be used often, and often while some plugin such as pepper flash is being used. System process like network center have also had the problem, thou appears to have stopped. There are also times when unknown process experience it, which I do not notice until my computer suffer the unable-to-sleep-then-shut-down problem. This is due to the fact that while the one or few process are deadlocking or something, all other process/program works just fine. So as long as you save your work before attempting to put computer to sleep, it's not a huge deal. So while the laptop might be good, it might not be the best of ideas to buy a new computer that comes with win 10 just yet.

Bought this computer when the Best Buy near me was closing. Didn't have time to do any research on it. I just asked the geek squad guy to show me the best bang for the buck, and this was what it. Love it! Very fast. Easy to use, and great screen.

I have loved this laptop from the day I bought it. Anybody who says HP is not relevant anymore is sadly mistaken with this beast of a computer. Touch screen is great, it's speedy, the pix is wonderful, and the sound is awesome...two thumbs up!!!

Does everything they say it will. I7 processor and the large ram make a difference. Screen is great. Only complaint i have is against Best Buy. I was told by best buy that they start the free antivirus subscription the day you purchase the computer and they scan the free antivirus bar code at the cash register. Not when i activate the software with the codes at home. On the flip side i called kaspersky to complain and they said i actually have one year from the purchase date to activate. Once i activate the software on my computer with the activation codes, then the clock will start ticking and the subscription will expire in one year. Oh well it was free. I guess i will find out the truth soon. Two different stories one them must be wrong.

I bought this laptop to replace my dinosaur little laptop I had for over 15 years... Yes, old school! Windows XP and everything lol. This super large touch screen is awesome! Windows 10 is amazing! I couldn't be any happier with this machine!

HP always makes quality laptops and having already purchased one 3 years ago, it made sense to stick with HP for my recent need for new machines for my kids. I did have to exchange both machines because one had a fan error on the initial boot up and the other was experiencing a wi-fi adapter issue, which is supposedly cause by Windows 10. There have been several BIOS and Intel adapter updates since I purchased the machine, so if you're experiencing the same issue, don't hesitate to contact HP Support and they'll resolve the issue. Exchange was within the 15 days of purchase so it was easily done.

This laptop has the power to do anything and everything I want it to do. The I7 is extremely fast with a 1TB of memory... This laptop will be more than sufficient enough to help complete my bachelors degree and move on toward my masters.

So far so good. I have got to get used to windows again, I have been using a Mac for over 8 years now.Time to relearn since I need to know window to get a job.

I had had may laptops from many different manufacturers and this one is the best by far. Windows 10 runs great on it, but I do not recommend this as you primary gaming PC, but that is not what I needed it for.

We are using this as a portable development environment. It has a full version of MS SQL Server running on it and also is being used as a traveling desktop. Very good performance so far, and, what an improvement Windows 10 is over W8.

It is heavy but gives good performance. Had an issue with Windows 10 Start button disappearing. A pain to fix but not really an issue related to the laptop. Plenty of memory so multi-tasking isn't a problem.

There are issues with Windows 10 but that is not a hardware issue. I do have a problem with certain USB 3.0 devices that needs to be fixed. Otherwise, everything else works very well and the speed is great!

I needed a laptop with certain requirements including a dedicated Graphic card. I really like HP products but I did shop around and this was the best buy and the price was great. We have been using for a while now with no issues.

Went to Best Buy with a few laptops as options. This laptop ended up being the best for me. I am not a gamer, but it is built for it. It is fast, sleek, and feels like a good quality laptop. So far I am extremely happy with it.

Bought this laptop for my Wife for Christmas for photo editing, not sure about getting her a laptop instead of a desktop but she loves it. Plenty of speed and power to run all her Lightroom software.

This laptop combines a powerful processor, good video features and a huge RAM memory which helps to improve overall performance. The battery is not enough for half day out. It should have a bigger one.

Exactly what I was looking for. The only con is the weight but outside of that, its perfect - it has everything you need. Dedicated graphics, cd- drive, crisp pictures, and backlit keyboard are some of my favorite features.

This laptop does everything I need. I was looking specifically for a laptop with a dedicated graphics card, so I was happy to find one with a nividia card, the higher 16GB memory was an added bonus, as was the touch screen.

What can I say, it's an HP Envy. HP always has world class site support (for drivers and such), demanded a platform I could be productive on and not compromise on the fun. Liked Windows 10 out of the box, while could do without HP Support Assistant deciding to keep around for a bit, like the backlit keyboard and machined feel and spring back of the keys. The touchpad is both a plus and a minus - desktop icons blow up like crazy when the desktop is pinched, downloading the synaptics driver helps stop that. Used the HP recovery procedure, will probably do again very soon, fairly simple process. The casing is scratch resistant, which I really like but like anything its not going to outlast cosmetic wear forever. Overall, happy with purchase.
