PC manufacturers are ruining windows, they create products with inferior specs and they wonder why APPLE is doing better. Bought this product and it struggled to connect to my WiFi, had to return it. I bough the Macbook Air and didn't have any issues connecting

I guess this could be a good laptop for anyone not doing online school. The screen was just too small. The attachments would say “screen too small to view.” Sigh….needed at least a 14in screen. Back this went. Also noticed it got hot with minimal usage.

This is a very nice laptop that I bought for my son in college. It is the perfect size to carry from class to class and it is well constructed with an all aluminum housing. It is plenty fast for his daily school work. The only thing you need to watch out for is that there are vents on the bottom of the laptop and you have to allow it to vent properly otherwise it will overheat and damage the battery. We have to get the laptop battery replaced because of this and it is not very old. (2 months) This is being done at my cost. It should last longer than that. This is really too bad because otherwise I like the laptop

Junky quality hardware - Don't buy

The quality of this 2 in 1 is terrible. I've already had to send it in twice in the first 10 months since I got it. The first time, the left side of the screen came loose from the outer shell. Then, the hinge broke just from opening the top. Best buy told me that HP might refuse to fix the hinge because they might decide it's not a defect. What's the point of a warranty if it doesn't cover a broken hinge just from opening it? This cost over $1,000 so it should be able to hold together for at least a year. I think HP just puts their brand on a Lenovo or some other manufacturer's laptop, but I'd still steer clear of HP products.

    Quality diminished greatly over time

Almost three and a half years after purchase, I wouldn't recommend this laptop to anyone. Maybe I shouldn't expect a laptop to last more than two years anymore, but for over a grand, I anticipated this laptop would hold up much better than it has. I rarely use this laptop as is, as I spend most of my time on a work laptop. However, the recreational/personal time I spend on this laptop is not quite time well-spent. Pros: - Picture quality is fantastic. Beautiful colors, clarity, etc. - Storage hasn't been a problem for me. - Typing is very comfortable. Nice keyboard and the light-up keys are a nice touch. Cons: - The battery life is atrocious. It was awful when I powered the laptop on three years ago and has only declined significantly. This laptop may last three hours on a full charge maximum. I usually use this when plugged in so I don't have to worry about the battery life, but whenever it's off charge, it's terrible. - The speakers have always been bad. Recently, whenever I'm listening to or watching something off-headphones, the sound level fluctuates without adjustment. Additionally, the sound has recently started to only play out of half of the speakers - the left underside of my laptop is very quiet. The speakers sound lopsided. - The fans are incredibly loud. My laptop could have four tabs open, no other programs running, and the fans would be blasting like I had Fortnite running. - This is a minor thing, but one of the anti-slip grip strips on the bottom of the laptop fell off within two years of use. I'm not sure if the rapid decline in laptop usability over two years is an HP, ENVY, or industry-wide problem, but it's extremely annoying. I will need to do significant research before investing in another $1K laptop that falls off significantly after 3-4 years of less-than-average use.

I had narrowed my decision down to this unit, a microsoft surface, and a galaxybook. This unit ended up winning out due to having the best feeling keyboard to me, and the overall impressive specs for the price. At the time I purchased this it was only $20 more than the others but with double the ssd space and i7 vs i5 processor. The 13.3" size is perfect to carry in my portfolio. Screen is nice and bright really hard to tell the difference vs higher claimed resolution on other models. Backlit keyboard is beautiful and a dream to type on some of the others had a much smaller backspace which made them awkward to use. So fast, really thought on standard wifi it would be slower than in the store but it is so so fast.

HP GOOD VALUE BUT POOR BATTERY AND SPEAKERS

HP laptop nice fast touchscreen and 2-1 capabilities but overall the battery life is only up to 10.5 hours I believe according to Best Buy but over all it’s smooth but not the best experience for hard core use (battery wise). Screen is nice good size for me as I’m not recording and needing to much screen real estate (great viewing angles) THX TO OLED!! But with all other features finger print is nice keyboard is ok software smooth but the speakers bang and oulfsen are just ok nothing great here fully my mac had way louder speakers but I feel like for me it’s just right but wish it was louder and not blocked so easily. But lastly my main thing was the cable should have been type C to charge just seems better but the fan sometimes gets loud nothing crazy tho.

    Issues with audio/camera

I regret not buying another one. So many issues such as audio ans camera going on and off. More than 5 contacts with virtual assistance and Hp support staff getting access to update drivers...etc. i purchased brand new around feb 2021. First laptop with so many problems. I had to buy one to do work and its annoying that i can't fully work without these tools. More annoying that i have to contact Hp support more than 5 times. Some HP staff have been great support. I have other dislikes but the above mention is what concerns me most.
