It looks like the print heads are in the cartridges which should solve HP's issue with clogging print heads.

We've only had this a few wks and haven't really tested how quickly the ink runs out and before you know, it's time to buy more ink...I will definitely update this review in a month or so...so, in the mean time-this was really easy to set up to all of my Apple devices (iPhones/Macbooks/Ipads/Ipad minis) and I was able to use it within 10 mins of taking it out of the box. Totally satisfied..for now, I will update in 2/3 months.

My son has to scan by going to a website on his computer then choosing the scan selection???! So complicated! But he says so long as he can scan & copy, it works for him.
