I'm not very satisfied!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It started out doing great, copied and printed quickly but after a few weeks it started making copies very slowly. It is now taking 6-8 minutes to make one copy, I can not wait this long to make a copy due to the number of copies I generally make. Unless something changes and this printer starts back working like it was when I first purchased it I will probably go and buy another printer and it won't be an HP!

Excellent printing machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent printing machine. After so many years, print, scan so like brand new. The wifi connectivity is so great. Easy to connect to any device. I use a generic ink without any problem at all.

Goes to sleep and won't wake up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After shutting down the printer and turning it back on it will sometimes work. Sometimes you have to shut everything on the network down to get the printer to work. And then it goes to sleep after you print and you have to go through the whole process again. I am not sure how this product made it out of beta testing.

Not as Expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simply needed a bare-bones printer that would not force us to buy color ink just to make the printer functional like past HP products (it didn't matter if you had plenty of B&W ink left). The initial setup with basic drivers vs. all of the bloat and unwanted ink renewal option did not work out as expected even after decades of exp. with HP printers. Ultimately needed to return. Bummer

Posted .Hi,
I am saddened to hear that you had to return it. I hope you will get a new printer that suits you better.
While we do have a few 'black and white' printers, I believe that all of the printers that use the tri-color cartridge can be run with just the black cartridge installed. When the tri-color is missing it might give you an error message, but you can ignore that and resume printing in black only.
Hope to see you using another HP printer in the future!

If printing not on schedule
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very Slow, uses a lot of ink just to print about 10 pages of material. That is without color nor pictures.

Posted .Hi edpass, sorry to hear you are experiencing a slow printing issue on your HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer and not happy with the page yield. If print speeds are slower than expected, or do not meet the speeds noted in the printer specifications, the steps in these documents should help you fix this issue: Slow Printing (Windows): http://hp.care/2n7qDrc or Slow Printing (Mac): http://hp.care/2n7vlFn Regarding page yield, historically printer manufacturers used their own methods for estimating page yield. However, this made it difficult to compare different products. Nowadays, the published page yield is based on the Industry Standard for measuring yields (refer to International Standards Organization ISO 24711). The actual yield varies considerably based on the content of the printed pages, the frequency of printing, the ink used in set-up etc. You may find that you will get more pages when printing in Fastdraftmode. XL size cartridges offer up to 50% lower cost per page compared with standard size cartridges. Our recommendation would be that you leave your printer powered on in normal usage conditions, only power it down if you will not use it for an extended period (i.e.: longer than one month). For further information check out Learn About Supplies page http://hp.care/2nYUthf. You can also follow the instructions in the following document to fix this issue:  http://hp.care/2o4TE5P HP printers generally have a 1-year warranty from their purchase date, you can verify the warranty using the following link: http://bit.ly/2mP3Xrb You can also contact HP Support in case you need further assistance: http://hp.care/2nbNQFi

Horrible Printer
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would not recommend this printer at all. Second one I had to replace and connectivity issues are always a problem. Will not connect to internet making wireless printing an issue. Second printer will freeze up and does nothing. Constantly having to disconnect and reconnect to get it going. Save your time and money!

TROUBLESOME
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer loses the saved settings to the network, therefor it must be reinstalled each time it needed. It seems to retain the info for up to 3 days. I have reinstalled, more times than I wish to count. I have downloaded the latest firmware and drivers from HP. But if my 14 days were not already up. It would be exchanged for any other printer. I would take my chances!
