To start off when this thing does actually manage to print it looks great colors are clean and its fairly fast as well. BUT this thing is allergic to wireless networks I have never seen a device so sporadic and fickle about staying on a stable network. Trouble shooting, reinstalling, checking drivers and looking through the forums have resulted in the purchase of an extender for my printer cable.

I haven't used all the features, however I have scanned and printed with no problems. I don't understand the complains that it is too loud when printing, it sounds like all the other printers I have had. Only feature I am not happy with is the arm that comes out to hold the printed paper, I have a feeling it is going to break before the printer gets very old.

HP makes very good printers , old one lasted 10yr. Easy set up, prints are clear.

it is slim and thin to place on my desk. very easy setup with my MAC Book PRo.

We got a 4500 series printer with my daughters laptop last fall, she took it off to college but didn't use it much. I fired it up at home after our printer quit working. This unit is hands down the best little home printer we have had. We have used it to copy, scan and print from Apple and Microsoft products, even from my IPhone. It was easy to set up and seems to not use a lot of ink.

Pretty disappointed. Our Epson got crushed during our move and we needed a replacement. We just printing a bunch of photos for our new apartment and couldn't hang any of them. There was always a slight hue to the photos we printed and nothing printed sharp. We went through ink quick and it doesn't have individual color cartridges, so when any color runs out, you need to replace the whole cartridge. Maybe my hopes were too high for a hundred dollar printer, but for photos you'll be a little disappointed. It was faster than our artisan, but that's not too big a benefit if they are soft and had a color cast. Our black and white photos kept printing with either a magenta or blue hue until we physically took out the color cartridge. I've had good luck with all my other HP products we use at work, but feel like this consumer level product isn't worth it. Unfortunately we will be returning for another Epson.

I bought this printer for my home, it is a copier, scanner and printer all-in-one. It has a nice LCD screen to and it is very compact. Does the trick for a nice home printer. Would recommend.

I don't need to print much but this is a nice printer to have since it's able to do pretty much everything or a low price, in case I need to print or scan something. Also since I don't print much, HP's ink program is really great where you're able to play a certain price each month for automatic ink delivery depending on how much you print per month, it's a huge money saver.

Have a HP photosmart that will not airprint, have an Epson that will but cost too much for ink and dries out if not used daily. Don't need "big automatic, do everything" printer. Son of a gun, Best Buy had just what I needed, and on sale. Works great, setup in 10 minutes works with all my Apple devices, from desktop, laptop, iPad, and cell phone.

This thing is great. Good quality and very easy to set up. Be mindful, however, that there is no separate feed to accommodate scanning. Your only choices are the paper tray or manually lifting the cover. If a separate feed is important to you, you might want to upgrade just a tiny bit. To reiterate my earlier comment however, I am absolutely pleased.

great product just have one problem with the product; getting the ink the problem.

I was so happy with my printer when I purchased it. I'm a teacher and needed to print classroom resources in color without constantly having to buy ink...it's too expensive. I researched about instant ink and decided to purchase this printer based on the needs and what I would use it for. It was very simple to connect to my MacBook. The problem I have with this printer is it doesn't not stay connected to wi-fi. It stops in the middle of print jobs half the time and says printer isn't connected. I have to restart it several times before it prints and sometimes it starts the job over. Hopefully once I update the software it somewhat helps.

This printer was super easy to set up. We love the wireless connection and often print from another computer, tablet or smartphone. If you follow the directions, it couldn't be easier to set up. Not sure how long ink will last - we haven't used up a cartridge yet!
