Works fine so far (printed 5 items) for the price. Good quality print from my ipad. I would give a 5 except it is rather slow, but not terrible. I don’t know how long the ink will last (that’s often when U learn how much the printer really costs).

I have been using this for a few months now, and I am VERY happy with the performance and how long ink has lasted without having to be replaced. The overall quality is great with the only issue being the software (Mac OS) losing settings when updating. I do wish it had a better designed on/off button as it is located in an odd spot on back of unit and it is hard to tell when it depressed due to lack of tactile feel. Overall the printer is Excellent!

This is an excellent printer that works perfectly with the HP Smart app. The only flaw it has are the lack of buttons, which are resolved by using the app.

Every printer I’ve had has given me issues. App setup is ok, but once it’s up and running its very simple and works well. The HP ink subscription is only useful if you’re constantly printing stuff. Solid printer so far tho

    WORST PRINTER EVER

When I bought this printer I was told it was easy to connect and could be done in 10 min. Well I tried to connect it, along with my daughter who also tried and my son in law who is a IT guy and every time he would get it connected it would go off line again . It goes off line all the time and the paper is always getting stuck in the printer. I always buy HP but this was a real dud...

      Hi there.

I’m sorry that you’ve encountered such difficulty with your printer. I can wholly understand why a difficult setup process, the printer frequently going offline and paper getting stuck in the device would be an absolutely exasperating start to ownership. I want to help you get the printer working to your satisfaction, so I’ll direct you to some resources aimed at making that happen.

First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including printer-offline difficulties. Visit that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

Next, if the paper is getting stuck in the document feeder, I suggest you follow the steps in this guide to feeders that pull through too many pages at once or fail to pick up paper at all:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01728503

If the paper is getting stuck within the printer, you might gain useful information in this guide troubleshooting and avoiding paper jams you’ll find on our support site:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06575809

If any problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

Printer was easy to set up and prints well. The downside is not the printer; but the scarcity of ink for it.

    Junk

Junk. Bought this 6055E along with a brand new HP Pavilion laptop and connected it wireless. Worked fine for a week. Now continually disconnects, claims its not connected to the internet, continually prints out a color error page wasting ink and the thing goes through a $35 ink refills alarmingly often. Will try a USB cable connection, otherwise this junk is going in the rubbish.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry your printer has failed to maintain a reliable wireless connection, and that it has used in more rapidly than you anticipated. I can certainly understand why that would be a frustrating combination. I want to help you resolve these issues, so I’ll provide some resources and clarifying information that I hope will make that happen.

First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including wireless connectivity. You can find that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/help/printer

Next, I can’t say for certain what has happened with the ink supply in your case, but some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less still than ones in our Instant Ink program. If you’ve used only the cartridges that came with the printer, this could explain what you’re seeing.

However, if you’ve installed replacement cartridges, the XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 200 to 240 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 100 to 120 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

Regardless, if you have further questions about ink use or believe a problem exists – or if the connectivity trouble persists – I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
