A total mess my fault for choosing this model.....

Bought this 6055E along with a brand new HP Pavilion laptop and connected it wireless. Worked fine for a week. Now continually disconnects, claims its not connected to the internet, continually prints out a color error page wasting ink and the thing goes through a $35 ink refills alarmingly often. Will try a USB cable connection, otherwise this junk is going in the rubbish.

Next, I can’t say for certain what has happened with the ink supply in your case, but some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less still than ones in our Instant Ink program. If you’ve used only the cartridges that came with the printer, this could explain what you’re seeing.
However, if you’ve installed replacement cartridges, the XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 200 to 240 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 100 to 120 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

Had to call customer service three times. Bought it three weeks ago and have spent 6 hours in chats or phone calls H.P. First person couldn't figure out connection problem and just gave up and gave me a 1 800 number to call that never answered. 2nd person couldn't figure out why it kept disconnecting and I had to keep shutting it off and on to make it work. Got disconnected from him and no return call from him or supervisor. 3rd person, I believe fixed it. Time will tell. I would have brought it back to Best Buy but it was passed the 2 weeks. It copies fine and scans well but has connection problems. Would not buy it again.
