It’s a decent printer. Nothing crazy. Easy to set up and use. I did have a little trouble re-setting it up on new WiFi when I moved, but I eventually got it (an hour later).

    Prints When It Wants To!

Easy to set up. Was printing using wireless, then only occasionally. Switched to hard wire and still it prints when it wants to. The on-off button in back is a pain. Prints well, when it wants to. Unfortunately, I don't think any of the new printers are worth the plastic they're made with. I hate combination color cartridges--a waste. You need to throw away all colors when only one might be depleted. When this one finally decides to make it's last copy, I'll NEVER buy another HP!

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has performed so unreliably. It’s easy to understand why using wireless as well as wired connections with no resolution would quickly become discouraging, so I’ll offer some resources and information I hope will help you remedy the situation.

I can’t tell from your review why your printer has not printed reliably or consistently, so I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and guide you through any applicable troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

I bought this to replace an HP I previously had which worked well. This printer is horrible and no where near the quality of the other basic model I had. First it will not stay online. I have to go to the printer, unplug it and plug it back in to get it to go back online. It also prints only partial pages or blank pages continually and I cannot reprint those pages so they are lost. It also does not scan very well. Any document or card I scan is blurry and cannot use. Do not recommend at all!

Printer is good now that I know it is labeled as smart printer or something like that and to scan you have to go to the app. Confusing at first. I wish the scan option was on the printer.
