Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the HP ENVY 6055 Wireless All-In-One Instant Ink-Ready Inkjet Printer for my 84yo father to use with his new MacBook Air (using a Verizon JetPack wireless network). Completing the set-up took some time but was straightforward. NOTE: There was one minor glitch in the process of setting it up. We tried to be proactive and replaced the two ‘set-up’ ink cartridges (which are already in the printer upon purchase) with two HP 67XL ink cartridges that we purchased (so that he would not run out of ink within the first few weeks of use). The set-up process was unable to proceed without the two original ‘set-up’ ink cartridges in the printer, however, so we ended up having to re-insert them, leaving my father with the low-capacity cartridges in the printer and two already unpackaged 67XL spares. The printer works well and appears to have been a great choice for someone who is not comfortable with computer technology, but I strongly suggest that the initial set-up of this all-in-one inkjet printer include someone who is.

Its started out nicely where the printer worked smoothly. Recently, I began to get multiple paper jams to where I would get annoyed that I didn't bother to print anymore. Now, I am having issues with getting my printer to connect to my wifi. I have changed my wifi's name because I got a new router and so I tried to connect my printer to connect now and it just wont! I have used the HP smart App to connect it and it shows that the printer has connected but when you go in the menu with the printers image it says that "printer is not connected" and I have even used the HP scan and doctor softwware and gone to hp support website but nothing has helped. I have spent hours on trying to fix this but at this point I am over it! I highly do not recommend this printer!!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

They used to be top notch but they suck now. Plain and simple. When it works it's fine but... we never knew when this things would print awful images or glitch out like a mad. Been using HP for decades. I'm done. Be wary of the good reviews. Epson ecotank seems to be doing good things these days

The setup was a little difficult only because it doesnt come with proper manual and setup is confusing for HP help setup. The ink is hard to find due to the shortages every where on ink. Ink carriages aren't costly but have to be replace ink like every 50 or less pages which I would recommend doing research on how to refill your own ink cartridge. If you do that then this printer is worth buying.
