Do I want someone monitoring when I use my computer and how much color ink I am using? No, definitely not. I refuse to submit a credit card to use a printer. The installation was tedious because I had to refuse the privacy violation multiple times before it would print a test page. I didn’t care about the unprotected bottom but the serious privacy violation gets an F in my book. Sorry, Guys,

I’m 60 years old and technology challenged. Then it wouldn’t print after an update to the computer. No time to mess around, need it to fix itself.

They leave out that you need an app to talk to the printer. Once connected, works fine. Print quality is ok. Surprised it's no better than an old HP ink jet.

I do not recommend this product in the least. It seems HP has decided to drop instructions, a USB-A printer cable, in favor or Wifi/Bluetooth and APP based setup. I tried everything I could find and was unsuccessful getting it to print from our network. I tried this from multiple computers, older and newer; I went to 123hp.com, installed the setup wizards, loaded direct Windows10 drivers, disabled wifi and paired bluetooth. The furthest I got was test pages telling me how to setup that were generic to the HP Lineup. When I did finally cue a print, I immediately got Failed to print "Error" with no solution. My opinion, HP should divest a large portion of the marketing promoting their "Instant Ink" program, and write some manuals, publish model specific drivers, fix hardware bugs, and include a cable and flash drive in every product deliverable. For the record, the Envy 7155 has the same problems, I bought one a year ago, DOA at school and since obsoleted with slim chance of any sort of RMA. I will never buy an HP computer, and now never (again) an HP printer. I hope this helps someone avoid a waste of time or money in the future.

I can understand why this would be a tremendous frustration, especially considering you had similar problems with an HP printer in the past. With that in mind, I’ll offer some information and a resource I hope will help.
I can’t tell from your review why your printer did not set up and install like it should, so I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and guide you through any applicable troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
