I didn't like this unit. There is no display, you need to use an application on your phone or computer just to see how much ink you have left. The ink didn't last long. Not recommended for someone who prints a lot.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that the copy function on your printer has not worked. It’s easy to understand why this would be a terrible surprise for a new device, especially considering you’re past the retailer’s return period. I want to help you get the device working to your satisfaction, so I’ll direct you to some resources I hope will accomplish that goal.

First, I recommend that you follow this guide to resolving copy problems; it covers copiers that stop working as well as copy-quality issues:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05337009

If the problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

Do NOT listen to any of the reviews you see for this printer. More than half the time it does not work. To even use the printer, I need to unplug it and plug it back in, every time. Using HP Smart does absolutely nothing for me. If I try to print a PDF from the application, it fails and "restarts". It doesn't. It continues to stay on and then HP Smart reads that the printer is offline. I made the mistake of waiting longer than 30 days to return this. Now I've got a big ol piece of white plastic that hardly does the job I want it to.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has performed so poorly. I can certainly understand why difficulty with the HP Smart App and needing to reset the printer so frequently would be absolutely confounding. I would love to help you get your printer working to your satisfaction, so I’ll point you toward some resources aimed at getting you there.

First, I recommend that you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various tasks and issues, including wireless connectivity and printer-offline issues, which I believe might be the cause of some of the trouble you describe. You can find the page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

You might also find it useful to follow a guide to installing and using the HP Smart App, especially the FAQ portion, which covers common questions as well as difficulties users have encountered. Choose the link to whichever document matches your operating system:
      - Windows 10: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04675142
      - Mac OS: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06188214
      - Android and iOS: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03561640

If you need further assistance, I hope you’ll contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. Works great and very easy to use. Having a wireless printer allows us to store it where we want and not have to have it on display. Scanner function is great too!

Have to reboot it continuously in order to get it to work again, also if one of the inks runs low it won't let you do anything not even to keep printing in black or scan.

The HP Envy 6055e All-in-One Printer delivers the quality you would expect from an HP printer. So if you are looking for a good printer to handle your printing needs, this likely will handle most situations. Out of the box, set up is easy. I was up and running within 5 minutes. You basically pull the printer out, remove all the packing blue tape, plug it in, install the cartridges and install the software. It is quite simple. There are no print cables needed. It is all able to be handled via Wi-Fi connections. All my devices from my smart phone to my Windows machine to my Mac were able to find the machine. The print quality is particularly good. It is not as crisp as say a laser printer, but it still does the job nicely. It was able to clearly print logos on a company letterhead and even color images looked good. The box is a bit misleading to me in that it shows a perfect phot image being printed. The images are good, just not this good. But for reports, letters, and small business applications, this printer should handle the job fine. Print speed is average as it handles about 10 pages per minute of black and white and about 7 if printing color. The newest feature to me that this printer offers is HP + Instant Ink. You can think of it as a subscription plan for your printer. The nice thing is you never have that situation where you need to print something and suddenly realize that you are out of ink. This is because the printer basically alerts HP that you need more ink and it delivers it straight to your house before you run out. You just need to select the plan you need. The plans are based on how many pages you anticipate printing each month and it bills you accordingly. You can go as little as 15 pages a month or up to 700 pages. You decide. As an extra benefit of choosing this service, you do get an extended warrantee on your printer too. There are some drawbacks I see from this service. First off, you must keep your printer always connected to the internet. This is likely a minor issue, but some may not like it. Also, even though you get 6 months free to try it out, you do need to put in your credit card information as it will be billed monthly once the 6 months are over. You can cancel beforehand, but you will need to remember to do it. By having a credit card on file, it is one more thing to remember to update whenever a card is lost or updated. Plus, you only have 7 days to sign up for the service. There is some fine print involved, so you must make sure it is right for you. But if you are fine with it, it should save you money and easily allows you to recycle old cartridges. I have had several HP printers in the past and this one is better that the others. With the ability to print, copy, and scan, it can handle much of my needs. I recommend this printer to anyone looking for a quality All-in-One ink jet printer.
