However, it does not stay connected to the computer. We use the same computer on the same Wi-Fi. When we go through a complete reset of the printer and computer it will finally print. This is a timely process. Once the printer is reconnected, it prints. The next day/time the process of reconnecting the printer starts over again. This was not a good product for productivity.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.On MacOS 11 (Big Sur) the printer is supposed to be fully compatible, but from the moment the installation program ran I encountered nothing but bugs. The installation of the HP Smart app went smooth enough, and the printer readily paired to the iPhone using Bluetooth. The printer connected to my local Wi-Fi, but from here the install completely hanged. I had to stop the install, turn off the printer, and set everything back up as an existing printer (instead of a new install), as it was clear the printer was already paired with the Wi-Fi. Installation of printer queue on MacOS again required the app to do anything. Printing remains highly inconsistent and buggy. The printer will stop communicating to MacOS and print jobs will hang in queue. The printer won't power off using the power button and requires being physically disconnected. Printing a 4 page bank statement in black and white took over 15 minutes of trying to get the printer to connect to MacOS, and even when printing (duplex) it took over a minute to print two pages. I honestly should have purchased a cheap Lexmark black and white laser printer and skipped this piece of Chinese garbage. Give me a printer with a hard wired Ethernet port and LCD display screen any day over syncing via a phone app. GRADE = F-
