Giving up on HP printers
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Printed fine, but was not able to get it to scan. Contacted and talked to HP support for quite a while and still the only scanned output (printed or sent to email) was a completely black page. HP support told us just to return the item because they could not help us any further. This is our second HP to not work correctly (connected to a 2020 iMac) - so we give up on HP and will try an Epson next.

Wouldn’t make it through setup and needs iOS 13 ph
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did not work right out of the box. HP said there is nothing to do to possibly fix it. Customer service and technical support didn’t even know there own codes or how to operate their own product. Told me that Instriction to fit the problem that took me in circles. Never once did they consider it was broken right out of the box. Still figuring who is going to replace it. Best Buy or HP. It’s a hot mess over a 129.00 printer that could not make it through the setup mode. Said it came with ink, but it’s only a starter cartridge with 1/4 ink in it. The description never said it had to be ran with a smart phone with iOS over 13. Holds very little paper and very cheap feeling. Never said even to make a copy you have to have your new smartphone present. All operating computers and phones has to be registered to the printer. Only good for one or two people to use.

Got a defected one. We'll see how it is replaced.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got a printer with a known defect. The printer tray won't verify it's closed. Just got it brand new and I can't print anything. I'm able to get a replacement. I hope it works this time but frustrating because needed the printer for a specific deadline. It's meh. Kind of wish wifi printers weren't as faulty and hard to operate as the older ones that were just basic and plugged in just in general.

Lots of connection problems - multiple HP Printers
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over the years, I have probably purchased 10 (or more) HP Inkjet printers - including those for my kids in school. Lately, with the units relying more and more on Wi-Fi, I noted that there were "maintaining" Wi-Fi connection problems. Annoying but tolerable. When my 7155 stopped working after 3 years, I purchased the 6055, which has no control panel and displays colors for the various states of operation. Almost everytime I went to use it, the connection was "gone". I had a very strong WiFi signal with no problems with any other connections in my home. Late this summer, we switched to fiber and installed a mesh system. The 6055 performance did not improve. All the phones, Google Home, Lutron and Roku units were rock-solid on the new, fast system. I bought a Canon Inkjet, set it up, connected right away and answers the bell every time I ask. Lots of heartache if you purchase HP. I regret my purchase of the 6055 and am hesitant to give it away, even though it's only 8 months old.

Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry that your printer has performed so poorly regarding connectivity. It’s no surprise that you’re tremendously disappointed, considering you’ve had better luck with many other HP printers and none of your other wireless devices has given you trouble. I want to help you remedy this problem, so I’ll guide you to some resources and information I hope will accomplish that goal.
First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including wireless connectivity and printer-offline difficulties. You can find that page here:
- support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
If the problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and determine the best course of action. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

It’s not bad
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s an okay printer not ideal for heavy printing if that’s what you’re using it for I’d recommend a higher end one.

Pass on this one!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer was a lot of trouble. Always gives an error of "out of Paper" even though it has a full tray. If you uninstall it and reinstall it, there is a temporary fix, but its not worth the trouble. Unfortunately, after only a year of very minimal use, I am looking to replace it. Would not recommend!
