The HP Envy 6055e printer/scanner comes in a small package. This printer holds 100 sheets of paper and prints out 10 pages per minute black, and 8 pages color. Set up is quick and easy, the cartridges snap into place. There are 2 cartridges 1 black and 1 tricolor. The newest features are Dual-band Wi-Fi with self-healing. Keeps the unit online and ready for printing. With the HP smart app, you get simple setup and printing from anywhere. A real plus is the HP+ features. 2-year warranty vs 1 year, 6 months of free ink. You also save 50% on ink with instant ink. I use the instant ink on all my HP printers (4 of them). This printer would go good in a home office or college dorm. I like the lights on the printer The lights change color to inform you of what the printer’s status is.

This Hp Envy printer is a good all round printer for someone who needs the occasional print, copy or scan. The HP Smart software makes it easy to print, copy and scan from any wireless device anywhere. The printer can print up to 10 ppm and provides the print quality that I expected from a typical ink jet printer. To install the printer you download the HP app on your phone and it walks you through the setup. The app first finds the printer via Bluetooth and then guides you through adding the printer to your wireless network. The entire process is very simple and straight forward. Once you have the printer on the wireless network other devices can immediately find it. I have the HP Smart software running on all my devices and the software found the new printer once it was added to the network. The software works great on my android phones, my ipads and my windows laptops. This printer does not have a display and instead relies on the HP Smart software to guide you. There are indicator lights and buttons on the printer to help you copy, scan and print if you do not want to use the app. The indicator lights are very intuitive and the lights add to the visual appeal of the printer. The printer has two ink cartridges, a black one and a multi-color one and the paper tray holds 100 pages. Having all three colors in a single cartridge is a negative for anyone who does a lot of color printing because as soon as one color runs dry you have you to replace the cartridge. HP counters this by trying to get you to sign up for a subscription service on the ink but I don’t print enough color prints for this to be a problem. Because this printer is so compact you need to raise the top to load the cartridges versus pulling down the front as on most HP printers. There is no document feeder on this model so each sheet needs to be placed on the glass if you are doing multiple scans or copies however it does offer duplex printing which is nice for those who like double sided printing. The big plus to this printer is the HP Smart software integration. The software has the standard copy, scan and print functions but it also adds some interesting extras like camera scan and smart tasks. These software extras adds value to the printer and makes it much more user friendly. My only complaint with the printer is the multi-color single cartridge and HP’s push on the ink subscription during the set up. Both were more of a nuisance than an issue for my printing needs.

Pretty bad scanner. Photos are horrible with white dots everywhere and faint vertical white line in picture even after cleaning the glass. HP only has diagnostic app for Windows - not Mac. Their support phone says call back during business hours even when you call during business hours. Scanned docs are somewhat soft when printed compared to originals even at 1200 DPI. I use to think HP products were good. Best Buy only has 15 day return limit - not 30 as would be expected so I won't be shopping here again. I don't recommend this printer.

Not having a display is kinda annoying at first bc your learning how to use it through the app. Gunna return it because you have to pay to send a fax and doesnt even say the price. Got all in one printer to upgrade from my older one but the older one ion gotta pay to fax

I returned it. I got a bigger and faster printer.

Cant get it to print consistantly. Doesn't have instruction manual in the box.

This printer is the worst printer I've ever owned. The paper jams constantly. It guzzles ink. Pages that do print come out curled and damp. There is no warning when ink is low. It just starts printing lighter and lighter. If you print a long document and aren't standing there watching each page come out, you may not notice the ink fading and you'll have to print the whole thing again after you replace the ink cartridge. I'm replacing the printer today.

Not very pleased with this product had to return it

Had printer for one month, then it dropped WiFI and wouldn't reconnect unable to print, returned it to Best Buy and got refund and applied to another printer.

I love HP but I got a defective one. No way to clear it, even after several hours of aggravation on phone with HP and BestBuy..... I returned it for credit. I have a nice HP 5660, love HP instantInk. The white is a good idea, but the printer was flimsy and not what I expected.

Uses a lot of ink. It's great for personal use, and not a lot a printing.

spent 4 hours over 2 days with tech support in order to get it to work.

Print quality not the best. Instructions hard follow for setup.

Smart printer but lacks in accessing by computer wirelessly

I cannot get this thing to print at all. Very disapointed

Sorry, but the printer was returned, as we could not get it to hook up with my Chromebook. We tried every suggestion that was made, and it would not connect. Did not buy another printer until I do some more research on a printer that will work with the Chromebook.

Difficult to synchronize with computer and Wi-Fi system.
