I hate this printer. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to turn it “online.” Every time I want to use the printer I have to restart it. I wish I could return it. Tried using HP support but they weren’t any help.

This printer is deserving of 0 stars. Purchased for my AP HS Senior. She never complains, but I noticed she was still using my office printer. I asked why & she said this was a nice gift, but never worked. Out of the box, the printer will not align. It prints every other line of a black & white document & customer service is an automated joke. Set up is a headache that is more about collecting your personal data & marketing ink programs, rather than simply connecting to your Wi-fi & just printing a document. 25 alignments later, (with HP cartridges) I'm going to spend more money on yet another printer. Don't waste your time or money

Yes, the printer works for printing - most of the time. However, it has been plagued by a very annoying issue. The printer will often "go offline" for no apparent reason. This shows up when I try to print something and the status pops up as "printer offline" The only way to get it back online is usually a PC reboot. This is NOT acceptable! I have tried unplugging and replugging the USB cable, powering off and on the printer - all to no avail. HP support is useless. Seems like this printer has this problem for others as well.

This is one of the worst printers I have ever purchased. There are no instructions. There is no on/off switch on printer. Have to turn it off from electric strip. Setting up is horrible. Got WiFi working and then it cut off & could not get it back on so I used my old printer cord and plug it in direct to my computer. It prints slow and takes too much time to process next job such as scanning, printing. etc. Control buttons light up when they want to and not when you want them. Having trouble printing multiple copies bc no instructions on how to work printer. HP assumes you should know how to work it.

If you are interested in recreating the office space scene where they take a baseball bat to the printer then this is the printer for you! It will only work part of the time (usually won't work when you really need to print a document) and when you use the online virtual assistant in the app it will be no help at all and provide recommendations for a different printer models. You will printer information page that will tell you the printer is connected to the wireless network, that the signal strength is excellent and the states "This Printer is connected to the Internet" but right after when you go into the mobile app and try to print it states there is no network connection.

This was one of the few printers in stock during the height of the Covid work at home movement, and I understand why. It is by far the worst printer I have owned since my first dot matrix printer of the 90s. This machine should have never made it past the prototype phase. It has essentially no local user interface, you need to use the app on your computer or phone to interface scanning and copying functions. This would be tolerable if the printer stayed online, but it constantly goes offline and requires power reset to restore functionality. Lastly, it does not hold much paper. Did I mention this was the worst printer I have ever used or purchased?

I hate this printer. It freezes all the time. I have to unplug it and plug it back in everyday, several times a day. I can usually print one thing and then it freezes and I have to unplug and wait for it to restart. Also, why does a white printer have a black cord. It makes no sense. I use this printer on a desk in a all white office. My outlet is at desk height and now I have an ugly black cord that stands out. I wish I returned this printer but its too late now.

HP ENVY 6055 is impossible to connect to WI-FI or connect without WI-FI as advertised. The only thing worse is HP’s customer support. The HP virtual assistant is useless. HP telephone support puts you on endless hold. Do not buy this printer. I’m sure Best Buy won’t post this review because all their reviews average 4.6 or better. I have owned other HP printers with no connection set up issues. HP missed on this one.

Its a good printer for regular prints but not for photos or labels it produces white horizontal lines across the prints which is a bummer because i cant crest my labels with this printer which was my main reason for purchasing it.

      Hi, Janice.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer is rendering prints of poor quality. It’s easy to understand why seeing horizontal lines across prints would be quite a jarring surprise, especially if it limits the very use for which you bought the printer, so I’ll point you toward some resources that I hope will help.

First, I recommend following the steps listed in this guide to improving print quality, including streaked or faded prints, color or black ink not printing properly or at all, and blurred or fuzzy text:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06543527

If the problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and guide you through any applicable troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty
