The Envy printer is probably a good printer, but the setup instruction were not to the point, I had to call a HP Tech, and we were unable to get it to work as prescribed, I had to send it back.

It's loud, slow, and will only work through an app. I cannot get the scanner to work at all, and I'm pretty savvy with printer technology. It's horrible. Absolutely horrible, HP customer service was also disappointing. Previously I had an Envy 5540 and I currently have an Envy 4520 at school that works great. This one is junk. I hate that I am stuck with it.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer is rendering prints slowly and loudly, and that the scanner function has not worked like it should. I can easily see why that combination would be tremendously frustrating, so I’ll offer some resources and information I hope will help.

First, I suggest you look at a guide on our support site that covers improving print speed; choose whichever of the two following links matches your operating system:
      - Windows: support.hp.com/us-en/document/bud03409
      - Mac OS: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01928898

For the scanner issue, visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various problems. There you’ll find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common scanning and printing issues. Visit that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

If any problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and guide you through any applicable troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

Expected to unbox and set up to print but instead ended up fighting this machine and the support system with it. Tried to set the printer but when I tried to go through the procedures it failed. Then you have to go through HP but they were no help. Instead of downloading to the IPhone they wanted me to use a computer. The strange thing is it accessed my internet system without the pass code. HP support is automated with no help.

Hp was one of my first computers and printers that I owned. I've always liked their products and this one does not disappoint. Starting off it has a slim compact and sleek design. No more bulky printers that take up half of your desk. This has a scanner and copier combo feature. Excellent for a student or home office. This one is a crisp clean white color. It's been streamlined, no big noticeable buttons or LED screens with one of the best features being the use of and ability to control everything with your smart phone through the HP app. If that's not your thing then it does have a USB to plug up to a single item such as a PC or laptop to print directly. Setup was quick and easy as always with HP products. You can also enroll in the instant ink program for a discount on replenishing ink cartridges But you will have to be connected to the internet to use this program for reporting usage and ordering new cartridges. It does do dual sided printing. It's not a super fast printer but not the slowest either. Rated at 10 WPM with B&W and 7 WPM with color. Overall I'd recommend this nifty little printer to anyone needing to do some moderate to light printing.

If you have an android phone trying to connect with this printer you will struggle trying to get it to work. I returned the first one thinking I might have purchased a dud. I had the second one give me the same problem. And called the customer service. No one knew how to operate after 3 hours of being transferred to different people. I gave up and bought an Epson printer and had much better success..

    The most worthless printer ever!

It ignores all settings and refuses to adjust the margins of any document. It cuts everything off and will absolutely not print an envelope no matter what. I have never had a more worthless printer in my life. I have become so disgusted with HP. I have bought nothing but HP products since 2004 and I am done. They offer no support and each time I buy a product it has more and more problems and lasts less and less. Do not waste your money on this piece of junk!

It worked GREAT for like the first 3 months. Afterwards, I started having some wifi connection issues. Sometimes it worked without a problem. Not even a year later, and it wasn’t connecting at all to the wifi. Kept trying to fix it and make it work, finally gave up. Ended up tossing it out. Reached out to HP and they just gave me the general troubleshooting. On the market for a new printer again!

I Should’ve just listen to the 1 star reviews. Look some where else if you want a printer to work the way its suppose too without on going headaches every time you fire it up. Horrible printer. The price should be $29.99 instead of $129.99. AGAIN, STAY AWAY FROM THE HP ENVY 6055 ITS PURE TRASH!!!!!
