Complete waste of money. Learned my lesson

One time I took hours to figure it out because it would not print only to finally find out it was because my credit card had expired. Are you kidding me? The amount of wasted time trying to connect this piece of trash has me ready to just throw it in the trash where it belongs. Buy cheap and get what you pay for. Learned my lesson

Avoid Printer

In this world of unknowns, I can always rely on this device to fail miserably, every time. Reliability counts. It has genuinely reduced my printing thanks to its absolute inability to function at a basic level. I would recommend this device to any masochist in need of a full time hobby. Shout out to hp for creating a sign-in required process and technically inept device that rivals the thrill of a trip to the gynecologist.

Ink dries up between uses

The printer ink dries up completely between uses. If I put in fresh ink today and print 1 page, when I go to print again in a month the ink will be completely dried up and empty. The ink is $35 per cartridge pack, and it is dried up on me 3 times so I am essentially paying $35 every time I need to print 1 page. Not worth it. I also don’t love that you need to use your phone to scan documents, a lot of the machine operation is centered around a phone app.

Regarding ink use, I can’t tell from your review how many pages you’ve gotten per set of cartridges, or how that compares with their estimated page yields. XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 200 to 240 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 100 to 120 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

Avoid this printer

But it is a continual struggle to get it to actually print. "printer is offline" "Printer is asleep" Then I have to wade through diagnostics and help files. I have not yet been able to print a single page document on the first try- minimum of 15 minutes of trouble shooting.

Absolute trash

I have had this printer for a year or two, and I have trouble almost every time I print something. And I’m a software engineer, not a technically incompetent boomer. Every printer HP makes is garbage, but this one has taken the cake as the worst I’ve had the displeasure of using. - frequent connection issues - frequent trouble thinking it doesn’t have paper when it does - frequent jamming issues

DO NOT BUY

This one is a nightmare! It is unbelievably slow and somehow stops printing on it's own. The Smart Print app is useless and so is Print Doctor. They will tell you the printer can't print but not WHY the printer can't print. They also give different results when trying them both. One will say there is no problem and the other will say the printer has a serious issue. What is the issue??? All I do is go in circles until I give up and have to go back to the beginning and reinstall it. I hate this thing.

BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING

IF you Cancel the subscription, you can no longer use the ink , that was already sent to you and paid for by you. I was told when i call that the money you pay is so they can MONITOR what you print. Best Buy is useless, they want to charge me to "look" at it, HP reps don't know what they're doing. Only 1 rep got this junk to work, and THE VERY NEXT DAY it didn’t work. Worst Printer I have Ever Purchased
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.All I needed was a device that prints, so let me start by saying that my expectations were not high to begin with, but this printer was a complete waste of money and I would've been better off buying the cheap one. It's never online, is not user friendly, and I spend more time trying to get it to print than if I ordered it to be printed by Office Depot. I'm not one for reviews but this product is horrible. Plenty of pretty lights but can't do a simple print job most days.

The Worst Printer Eve

I never once got it to run or connect to my PC. HP like the corporate thieves they are won't allow it. They make and shill the absolute worst printers that never actually print. TRASH!!!!!

Horrible and Cheap and Slow

Half the time it doesn’t print even when the app says it’s connected and all devices are connected. I print my schoolwork at work now. This printer works sometimes and other times just stops printing. I’ve reset it and reset my devices and it will only print the information page but now anything else. Horrible and cheap purchase. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Takes forever to print.

The printer is routinely offline, unable to print

I've been using it for about 7 months and it's fine . . . when it works. Despite having no internet connectivity issues in my home, this printer is routinely offline or in an error state, status unknown. The occurs more often than not. I don't know what it is or why it is. I should hardwire it, I know, but I bought a wireless printer for a reason.

Limited Functionality without HP Account

HP pushes you to enable an account and subscribe to their HP+ service, otherwise the function of your printer is severely limited. You can't even Scan without having to use their HP app and sign in with an account. There's no reason I should have to go through their application to access the basic functions of my printer. Steer clear at all costs!!
