This printer meets my family's needs. So far, my daughter has used it most for school assignments with no problems. Color print jobs look great and prints with ease. Also love the sleek look.

The most frustrating experience with a product in this era. It's the 2020s... how is your product so bad? The printer randomly disconnects to my network and is virtually impossible to reconnect. The app is horrendous, they keep pushing their "instant ink" scam on you. The ink runs out ridiculously fast. I print a dozen pages and it's telling me i'm already low on either color or black or both. This is honestly, in my humble opinion, one of the worst printers you can buy. I truly think those who engineered this printer did so to troll us. When the printer does work, which is a small percentage of the time, it prints decent, slightly below average quality. For the price, that would be great, if it actually worked reliably. I would stick to brother. And, please HP, do not apologize, I don't want an explanation. Just fix your next printers. Stop with the app nonsense. Make a printer that works. That works easily. And stop shoving your instant ink down our throats.

      Hi, Jordan.

Despite your request, I will offer an apology for the difficulties you’ve encountered with your printer. Your frustration and the message you convey come as no surprise after what you’ve endured. I want to help you have a better experience, so I’ll suggest some resources that I hope will reach that end.

First, I recommend that you follow a guide on our support site to installing and using the HP Smart App, especially the FAQ portion, which covers common questions as well as difficulties users have encountered. Find that guide here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1716406-1413451-16

Next, I suggest you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including wireless connectivity. You can find that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/help/printer

Finally, I can’t say for certain what has happened with the ink supply in your case, but some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges. If you’ve used only the cartridges that came with the printer, this could explain what you’re seeing.

However, if you’ve installed replacement cartridges, the XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 200 to 240 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 100 to 120 pages. I’ll also point out that Instant Ink cartridges exceed the XL estimated page yield. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

If any problem persists, we're always here for support. Please contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can guide you through the proper troubleshooting. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

This is a perfect choice for a small home office. Setup was easy, print quality was good. Haven’t scanned or faxed yet but I don’t foresee any problems unless my wireless is not working.

I bought this printer online without going into Best Buy to look it over. For me, what set this printer apart from others in its class is the capability to auto-print both sides of a sheet -- no manual steps required. I also like the light weight of the machine. Though the hinged cover feels a little flimsy and the control buttons are a little difficult to see when not illuminated, I think I still would have opted for this model if I had seen it in person. Both physical setup and online setup were uncomplicated. I especially like the HP Smart interface for scanning -- significantly easier than my old Canon MP620. Print quality is good enough.

Amazing little printer for the price!!! Highly recommend for anyone that needs a do-it-all home printer. Scans, prints double sided, great for printing pictures. The HP app is super convenient, easy to scan or print straight from your phone/tablet. Looks stylish and is compact enough to fit on a small end table or any desk.

I've always purchased HP printers but I like Envy models better. I like the ease of use, being able to print directly from my cell phone, the easy set up process to multiple devices and a few other things. I'm quite sure other printers have the same features but this is a personal preference since trying other brands.

    Disappointing HP printer

Honestly Ive been fairly disappointed in the ENVY 6055e Printer. It worked great for about a week and then stopped printing. I took it back to Best Buy and they couldn't get it working either so they switched my printer out for another new one. That printer worked great for a while, but then stopped printing black ink. I called HP and they sent me a new cartridge. Then it stopped printing colored ink. Another phone call and another cartridge sent. It worked well for a brief while and then the color cartridge stopped performing. I need to make another phone call to HP, but I must say I'm tired of the process. It seems like too many problems for one model of printer.
