Backed up with HP support and price, this is a great printer. Best Buy is very competitive and curbside service proved to be an added plus. Had a bigger HP computer that finally died out and knew I had to go back to HP after years of service.

I am going to try to return this after almost a year as every single time I go to use it I have to UNPLUG IT - RESTART MY COMPUTER - SEE IF IT CONNECTS - IF NOT - CALL A PHONE NUMBER IN INDIA - TALK WITH REPS FOR A HALF HOUR to an hour - determine which color of light means what - and THEN - AND THEN - I might get to print something..... And this is a SMART PRINTER?? NEVER buying an HP again.

Used lightly, not even weekly, never moved from printer stand. Signed up for "Instant Ink" to make sure there were no "counterfeit ink cartridge" problems. By January, this printer suddenly could not print, scan, photocopy, or even generate a status report. I have now spent WEEKS troubleshooting, using the vicious cycle of supposed online support, looking for help on YouTube, BestBuy won't help b/c it's HP's problem since it is still under warranty, but there's no way to contact a live person or get any help at all from HP... I am SO SO SO FRUSTRATED!!! It's now Feb and still no end in sight to this problem. Will NEVER BUT HP AGAIN... spreading the word at work and on Social Media... If you don't want endless frustration and worthless fake warranty with no means of resolution, don't buy HP!!!! Next stop is BBB.

This was a huge mistake. First, be careful with the free ink program. We cancelled since we do not print much and learned for the first time, after talking with tech support, that the cartridges in the free ink program will no longer work…. That’s right, I ended up going to Wal Mart and bought inexpensive cartridges. Secondly, it went offline twice and had to contact customer support again. Calls were both over 45 minutes and the fixes were different. I pulled it from the last support tech that this low end model can be controlled on from the lousy app on the desktop since it doesn’t have a built is screen. I may junk the thing after 10 months…
