I must say I love HP and the products they put out. I really like this printer and most of the features that it has, But I the printer ppm is very slow to me. It will work well in a home office but not in high volume situations. The HP+ is a cool add on for six months but it has limitations of 700 pages per month. The setup is easy and quick. The app is great as well. I would say check it out . Pictures come out beautiful. My wife loves it!!!!

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has worked for only a week or so at a time before the ink cartridges dry out. It’s no surprise that you’re put off by this, considering you’ve needed to buy new cartridges. I want to help you understand what’s happening with the device and resolve the situation, so I’ll provide some resources aimed at reaching that end.

First, the cartridges should not be drying out. Here’s one possible explanation: If you shut the printer down between uses but do not use the power button to turn it off, the device cannot “park” itself, which protects the nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper from excess drying.

This also could be a sign of a malfunction. Regardless, I believe it deserves further investigation. I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and determine the best course of action. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Hi there.

I am sorry to hear you have had trouble with connectivity and color printing, and I can imagine it must be especially frustrating having difficulties with support. We certainly build our printers with the intent of providing a reliable experience for our customers. So, please allow me to provide some different suggestions that might help you.

First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various problems, including wireless connectivity issues. There you’ll also find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. Visit that page here:

Per the streaky color, I recommend following the steps listed in this guide to improving print quality, including faded or streaked prints, color or black ink not printing properly or at all, and blurred or fuzzy text:

      Hello there,

I'm very sorry that you've been encountering consistent paper jams with the printer. Providing a reliable experience is something we pride ourselves on, so this is quite unfortunate to hear about. That said, let's see if I can help remedy this for you with some suggestions.

As far as the paper jams go, sometimes these can be real or false, meaning the printer might report an error when there is no actual jammed paper. I'd recommend referencing the steps in this document that troubleshoots both real and false paper jams: support.hp.com/document/c05079673

If what I've mentioned doesn't seem to help, or for any other concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly for support. We're always here and are more than happy to help get your printer running as it should be. You can get in touch with us via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP

I've had HP Envy printers since their very first one. That one that had all the servos in it to automate almost everything it seemed. Very cool and very unnecessary. I'm sure that drove the cost up and once it was seen to be unnecessary, HP nixed the servos. Probably a good move. The new generation of HP Envy brings a more affordable (and servoless) unit to the market while keeping the printing capability of the old school. Very nice balance in design and functionality. The colors are rich and almost as good as my color laser jet. Setup is straight forward and I was up and running in less than 10 min. You will definitely enjoy this printer!

I've pretty much always used HP as my go to printer brand. I've tried others and never found them to be as good. That was no exception with the Envy series. It's a multifunction printer that offers printing, scanning, and copying but it's a smaller size than other printers I've had with those same functions. The overall look of the printer is very clean and sleek, which is something I appreciate. As far as function, I've had no problems with the printer itself, any of its functions, or the ink cartridges. It gives you quality prints and copying and scanning work as expected. Vibrant colors and borderless printing make for excellent pictures. I've had other printers that have all of the same functions and cost twice as much. I think this printer offers quality at a very reasonable price.

I have used a few other HP printers along with other printer brands. HP has been my favorite brand of printer by far. The envy series specifically is sleek and fits nicely into any office space. Setting up this printer was a little different than some others. There is no actual screen on the printer so it is necessary to use another device to set it up. The good part is that it was easy to download the app to my phone and set up the printer. This is a little bit of a downside because on first try the setup process did not complete successfully. However, on second try it worked fine. I feel like with a screen on the printer you can easily see what the errors it is having and address. Where as if you require a wireless connection to see the problem and the problem is with the connection you will not be able to easily figure it out. All of that being said this is a great printer and it works flawlessly. It is meant to be a simple and wireless design and i believe it is successful in doing so. One of my favorite features is the App which allows you to easily print or scan straight from you cell phone. I was easily able to use it as a wireless scanner to scan photos to my phone. I would recommend this printer to anyone who wants a simple printer that can print, scan, and copy.
