Nice Basic Wireless Printer / Scanner

When I received my HP - ENVY 6065e, I was a bit surprised by its small footprint. With the tray open, the unit is 17.03" Wide x 20.14" Deep x 5.2" High. This is not like the huge All-in-One printers I have had in the past that I had to search for a special place to fit them. By the unit's title, it is an All-in-One Printer, but I have always thought that an All-in-One had a Fax capability. This particular unit does not. Or, at least, it does not have a RJ12 Port to plug in a phone line. Nor does it have Fax software. Apparently, there is a similarly named HP ENVY 6065e that does have Fax capabilities. That model is listed as HP Product # 223N5A, where the one I am writing about is a HP Product # 223N1-64017. It is a bit disappointing, but not a deal breaker. The last HP printer that I had would not connect to my 802.11ac, WIFI 6, wireless router, which was a big hassle and prevented me from using wireless capabilities and did not allow me to take advantage of HP's offer of 3 months worth of free ink. This ENVY model takes full advantage of WIFI 6, which made set-up fast and easy. Plus, I have already received my first free automatically shipped ink replacements. Speaking of ink, this unit takes HP 67 cartridges. The setup cartridges are small and only meant for basic setup and testing. Those cartridges only gave me about ten plain paper double-sided document prints and four 8.5" x 11" borderless color prints. In fact, after the first two beautiful glossy prints of my husband's yellow truck, on the third photo print, the printer picked up a piece of plain paper with the photo paper and wasted ink on it. After seeing that, I removed all the plain paper from the paper tray and only put in the glossy photo paper. I reprinted that photo and 3/4's of the way through the printing, the printer ran out of yellow and that print was ruined. (See attached pics.) I am also disappointed that HP decided to put all three color inks into one cartridge, so that the whole cartridge is rather useless for color photo printing, when one color runs out. This is a waste of ink and it is a crap-shoot as to whether you are going to have an expensive piece of photo paper ruined, when the ink runs out. Still the wireless printing is fast and easy. The color prints on good photo paper come out looking great. And the regular one- and two-sided printing and scanning work well. And, if you sign up for it like I did, the replacement ink automatically arrives before you know it. All-in-all, HP has made the ENVY 6065e a good, basic printer.

A printer and scanner this size, I was definitely skeptical because you pay for what you get. I love this thing! The quality surpasses the price. I love the convenience and ease of use. The application downloaded has a few other features that are handy and communicates from any device with no interruptions. I do pay the membership fee for the ink and paper but $8 has become essential and has saved time and money. I use it for school purposes and documents. It's suitable for my situation.

It was fairly easy to set up. We have been using it for a week and it prints great! It is quieter than our old one and doesn't take up as much room. There is a hesitation from when we ask for a copy until it starts but now that we realize it, theres no problem. I. Would highly recommend this printer!!

The sales guy at our Modesto store was awesome. We narrowed down our choices to 2 printers, and with his expert advice, we choose this Canon Pixma. The set up was extremely easy. Right away, this printer performed perfectly. We are very happy with the quality of print, copy and scan. Also, we are very pkeased with the cost of ink cartridges. We highly recommend this printer. Also we have this printer set up eired, with a wireless option..so again, this was a great purchase. We also got this printer on the Black Friday Deals, at a very good price. We highly recommend this printer.

No Frills, Gets The Job Done Easily

This printer was bought to replace an old HP Envy 5055. The 67 ink cartridge that this printer takes, is affordable, and fairly easy to find, which was a big deciding factor in buying this specific printer. It’s not the prettiest looking thing in the world, but it gets the job done. I wish it had a bulit-in screen like my previous printer. But it seems like HP is saving that for their more expensive and “professional” type of models. The HP Smart app is fairly intuitive, with few major bugs. The printer can still do simple things without a screen. It has touch-sensitive buttons that control things like, making a color, or a black and white copy of something. This works good for home use, small business, just your average printing needs, such as documents and your occasional photos. One small complaint is that this printer has a high pitched whistle when its awake. You can only hear it when you’re about in a three yard range of it. Other than that, im fairly happy with the purchase, and im hoping it’ll last quite a while.

Great printer thus far! Print quality is good as well as not too loud when printing. I found set up easy. Only thing I didn’t like was setting up on 3 devices. Love the light! Makes it look Modern and sleek!

Excellent printer for home office. This guy can print, scan, make copies. Easy set up. Colorful and playful. Printing quality is great for homework, resumes, and tax documents. If you are not in the same room as the printer, it makes a pleasant noice when it's done printing. I believe it's a great printer overall. HP is my brand!

Haven't had a printer in years, to be honest I've been overwhelmed by all of the features included nowadays. This printer guides you with instructions in a manual and through the app, step by step to ensure that mistakes aren't made. I particularly like this because i can print something at home even when I'm working so it's ready when I get home. I'm going to start selling stuff online and this is going to be a much needed feature. It's also affordable.

I use this printer for scanning and printing documents for school and work, so I don’t have a lot of needs. It prints photos well with photo paper, scans well, and is relatively easy to use. The setup can be a bit tedious, but I like how easy it is to print things from my phone with the app. Prints at a good speed. I would not recommend the HP Instant Ink subscription, it only allows you to use ink they send you and requires constant tracking of your printer use.

I'm giving it 5 stars casue it's cheap, it does what it says it does, and setup was not the worst. The HP print app leaves a little to be desired but again, cheap. To be fair I haven't used it for printing pictures or stickers, just regular color and bw printing and scanning. Scan quality is great though, it's basically the Gillette business model: cheap printer + expensive ink that doesn't go that far. I've done like 30+ pages of mainly text and it says half life for color and 60% for bw. BUT the HP instant ink service makes it worth it.

This printer works for me and what I need it for, which is occasional printing, scanning and copying with good quality. Understanding some of the display icons is not intuitive. The option to purchase instant ink is a plus.

Good little printer, loads of features, but if you don’t create the HP account, all it will do over WiFi is print. I set up the printer via Android 13 phone. I didn’t have any issues other than once I finished the setup the printer started to download a firmware update, which would have been fine…if i would have alerted me to it! The app got really slow, it quit recognizing the printer, then printer shut itself off and the LED lights from the print out port started flashing colors. Finally in the app it notified me that the Firmware was updated. Stinks that HP locks away the other features behind their account wall, if USB printing there is no such issue. I already had an HP account from a previous printer. Had not logged into it in about 4 years and the account was still active. I quite like the tray lights and sounds it plays when finishing a task. The app is quite easy to use and has some neat features. Speaking of the app, there are are tracking features that can be turned on/off. I did not sign up for the free ink refill subscription. I don’t print all that much, do scan a lot in so really wanted to try that feature. It has the ability to send a Fax from the app which is cool. The table that the printer is sitting on in the pic is 17” (depth) x 29” (width). The paper catch sticks out quite a bit further so if you don’t want it sticking past the edge of the table/printer cart you would want the depth to be 22 in minimum…or just turn the printer sideways on the table. Unboxing to printing (without HP account) took about 5 minutes. Messing with the HP Account added another 10 minutes. Which isn't bad, but it should have gone quicker as their were issues just getting to the next stages of the account setup, which in my case already existed. Once everything was done though, it's been smooth sailing! My time with it so far has gone well. HP is one of the brands I have always purchased in the past and I think this printer should serve my needs well.
