I am not good with electronics & needed someone to come in. I just wanted a manual to read - NOT an app to sign into to set the printer up. Now, everytime I want to fax or scan, I have to use the app.

Cheaper HP printer for a reason - do not recommend

It made a high pitched noise when it was on and not in use. I finally decided to replace it. Amazingly, this brand new printer makes the same high pitched noise. The lack of a screen makes it really hard to use - it’s difficult to find out how much ink is left, what all the blinking buttons mean, etc. It also uses ink very fast. It’s great to have a WiFi printer but I can’t leave it on because of the constant high pitched noise. Next time I will 1) not get an HP printer 2) will get a printer with a screen.

Random connectivity makes it unreliable

It has a pulsating sound, like a heartbeat, that is continuous. 2. It setup easily the first time, but when my router was changed out, I have tried 4 or 5 times to connect it to my computer and I can't get it to connect, even following HP's online manual. I have even connected it manually to my computer, and the HP printing app can't seem to find the printer time after time. Sometimes it prints, sometimes the computer can't find it. 3. The control panel on the printer are just lighted icons, which require you to "push this one once and that one twice and watch for the green light" to do anything. I am thinking I will throw this in the trash and call it a loss. Never buying HP printers again.

Won't buy cheap model again
