Do not buy! I have been dealing with HP customer service for the wi-fi connectivity issue with my HP printer since I purchased it. Even though the printer is still within the warranty period, and I spent many hours with the HP customer service, they still couldn’t provide me with a satisfactory solution. I have to use a printer cable directly connected to my laptop to print. However, I couldn’t scan any documents because it requires wi-fi connectivity.

Product works fine but directions are blurry and Instant Ink is impossible for free 6 months

I have had this about 6 months. It works about half the time or less. It often says it’s printing but nothing comes out. The next time it may work. I have not printed anything in color and it says the color ink is low. Sometimes it’s in sleep mode and opening the lid won’t wake it up nor will opening the paper tray. Then I have to unplug and go through set up. I can’t count on it to just print. I had two previous hp printers that I really liked. I’m going to through this piece of junk away and get a laser printer! Good bye hp.

This is the worst printer I have ever owned. I don’t understand where these good reviews are coming from. This printer never connects to anything. Definitely will never buy again.

Overall the item is ok, can be a bit temperamental on the app. The App is ok but could use changes like using the device on multiple smartphones

I've spent hours trying to get the printer set up on my laptop. I've spent hours with the AI assistant and a live person at HP Support. It still doesn't work properly. If it does connect it doesn't stay connected, and when I print it is really slow to get the page from the laptop to actually print. I used 123.start the HP set up guide. I used MS setup. I finally tried to set it up as wifi direct but it won't stay connected. And the tray externder for printed pages will not open automatically. It is slow, cumbersome, and I am returning it. How sad as my previous Envy worked great.

The printer is not bad but hp is alie about the 6 months of free ink and a additional free month of ink

Worst printer I have ever owned. Hardly ever works. Works best with the app but even still it's a 50/50. Cannot get all print settings options on computer. Only works a fraction of the time. Have spent all day trying to reboot, redownload, etc and still no luck in getting it to work. Quality of print jobs is awful to boot. I get better print outs for free at the library.

This printer is very slow. It will take at least 1-2 minutes to complete one page.

Can’t get it to work with my HP laptop. Very frustrating.

Unit was difficult to install - I'm a 30 year computer user. It wouldn't scan until numerous reinstalls were needed. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is at all uncomfortable with new equipment.

Granted, this is not a high end printer, but it is very flimsy. It will not consistently connect to internet and sometimes it won't even connect with a hard line, because it keeps trying to connect. It won't let me print pictures. Sorry I got it and did not return it before my return window was up. I kept trying, but 60 days later I will trash it and get a new one. Not HP

TERRIBLE! I've always used another brand and never had this many issues. Ive contacted support severalllllllll times to fix this NEW printer and im over it. Every time i attempt print theres some type of issue. I want a full refund bc i cant afford to shell out this money w/ all of these issues. Ive been laid off and have to watch my spending. Sooo disappointed.

We had moved and needed a printer. This one seemed to have good reviews snd worked well for them. It didn’t for me. I could never get past the scanner alignment process without an error. Connecting with the “geek squad” was an exercise in futility. Even they threw their figurative hands in the air. Of course, not after trying to extort $124 dollars for a in home visit. For an $80 printer? I returned this one for an office jet 8120e which I should have bought in the first place.

This is my second HP Envy printer, and a step up from my previous model. I like that this printer has a touchscreen display, and after turning on will provide you with the QR code to scan and start setup process (it's also on the back of the quick start guide). Setup is quite simple, and I was already familiar with the app from the last model, so that all went very smoothly. This model is also an inkjet model, so you can sign up for a monthly ink plan based on your user needs. With the type of printer this is I doubt you will need anything higher than the 100 page per month plan. 10 page plan (lowest tier) starts at $1.49 per month with the highest, 700 page plan, being $27.99 per month. They also give you 6 months of free ink, so you have time to figure out your usage needs. However, this is not an office printer, it only prints 10 black & white pages per minute or 7 color pages per minute. I mostly wanted this for printing photos, and some light paper printing here and there. It claims to fit 100 pages in the bin, even though it doesn't look like that many pages would fit. So that tells you right there this is not a workhorse style printer, but more for small stuff/amounts. I found the app easy to use. Printing directly from my phone, or from my laptop, or even the ipad were all easy to do. The pages were crisp and clean. The photos I printed came out nice as well. The colors were vibrant and matched the original photos fairly closely. Depending on what your personal needs/wants are this would be a nice home printer for most people.

Returning this immediately. Does non consistently connect or stay connected. Impossible to count on whether you can print from email, phone, internet. Occasionally works, but mostly we get error messages which are in error (says it's connected, but it isn't), We've had several professionals reboot/restart all of our devices and it still won't work consistently. Returning it with a high degree of frustration. DO NOT BUY.
