    This printer replaces an HP Envy 5660. I purchased this printer because I thought the old printer was not working correctly. It turns out there was a browser issue that the Geek Squad ( who had to come to my home) figured out after several calls to Microsoft, HP and the Geek Squad. It seems there is a lot more information going between my printer and laptop than my older printer. So far so good, it is working but the set up took quite a bit of time to get it to work properly.

    The printer works great now. I made the mistake of not signing up for the HP+ and instant ink when I first installed. There is no place in the software to add it later! So I had to spend a lot of time on the phone with HP support (the tech I got was great). Turned out we had to reset the printer and start over, but even then we ran into problems. I could not have done it on my own ever! It was supposed to come with 6+1=7months of instant ink. Trying to get that was a real chore. We never ended up with 7 months, but we did get 6 months. After hours of trying, that was good enough for me. I give 3 stars because of the difficulty with the software and getting the instant ink. If they would fix the software and the promotion I would give it 5. But if you are going to advertise 7 months of ink, you shouldn't have to fight so hard to get it. Note also that you have to claim the ink promo within 7 days or else.

    I had a terrible time trying to connect this printer to my computer. Had to call someone who could access my computer and try to get it connected. He too had a hard time, but after an hour on the phone with him, he finally got it connected. I have never had a problem before with connecting a printer to my computer. What and why is this happening?
