I had this printer for only a year. out of the blue all the lights started flashing and it stopped working completely saying the printer failure. I contacted HP support, and after trying every reset, update, and troubleshooting it still won't work. Mind you it was only just used at home for my kids school work and things like that. It was not heavily used. They said it was a system malfunction and I need to buy a new printer. The 1 year warranty just expired. I do not recommend this printer at all.

This printer is just what I needed and was looking for to print off school notes and other personal documents.

Its not very efficient for a lot of printing. After printing approximately 80-100 pages, I run out of ink. Does not have a scanning option unfortunately.

Our Epson printer just quit on us with NO warning. So.....Shopped for a new printer, but not an Epson. Checked out HP and liked the 6455 printer. Has all the functions we need. I like the little noise it makes and the cute colors as things happen on the printer. I am looking forward to HP's "instant ink" program. Sounds like it will be perfect for our new printer.

As a printer, it's fine. Set-up is unintuitive and requires either a direct USB link to the printer or to use an app on your phone and a QR code, but can eventually work with some fiddling. Once set up and working, the printer is okay. Nothing special, but fine. Lack of a screen to diagnose issues on the printer itself is definitely a pain though. "Instant Ink" is another story. With luck, everything works fine. In my case, HP never even sent me my "welcome package" of ink. Once I finally ran out of the initial supply, I went through their chatbot tree only to find out that they could not express ship me a replacement ink cartridge without an agent involved. That "express" shipment of ink took another 8 days to get to me. Surprise surprise, the color cartridge (the one I actually needed, mind) didn't work and spat out an error that it wasn't communicating with my printer. The official HP Instant Ink cartridge they sent me came broken! Just to make it function as a printer again (albeit one that doesn't currently print color), I have reinstalled my old empty color cartridge that seems to work just fine in terms of letting the printer print. Pros: a printer Cons: more expensive than other 'budget' printers No screen Terrible customer service HP "Instant" Ink is very slow and the ink they sent me after a MONTH didn't even work. Do not buy!

I have been using HP printers for as long as I can remember. This printer is perfect for home or small business.
