It's not a big expensive printer but it does everything a big printer does. Prints, copies, scans and faxes in black & white or color (including photos). Just download the HP Smart App and go. Set up was a snap. Love it!

Absolutely NO problems with this printer. I simply threw the old one in the recycle bin because I was so tried of it printing when it wanted to print. The HP Envy 6455 responds quickly and prints very quality copies.

It prints OK, but that is as expected. I do not like this printer mainly because it only has one paper tray, so we have to swap paper out in order to print photos. Best Buy did not have this model on display so I was unable to check that feature before buying, so they also get a poor mark on this one. It is also much louder than my previous printer.

Having seeing the success Apple made with simple and seamless install processes, HP decided to innovate and go in the exact opposite direction. Boy, have they succeeded... This was the worst experience I have ever had with the setup of any product I have ever purchased in my life. The process is simply a nightmare: long, confusing, multiple steps with unclear instructions, the app they recommend to identify and solve installation and connection issues limits itself to tell you to restart your modem AND the printer, it prints test pages that are basically a full page painted black (2 of these pages consumed 50% of the ink), you are redirected to insecure sites (It is normal, according to HP), you name it. Making the printer be recognized by the network was close to impossible and the whole process took over 2h. I have a decent knowledge of computers and software, I can only imagine what a lay person would go through. Probably hours on the phone with technical support. HP also innovated by removing the printers' display. Now any information you need the printer will print for you. Great move to increase significantly the ink consumption since you will need to do it quite frequently. Yes, after the initial terrible experience HP wants to remind you frequently what a crappy product you just bought. Talk about adding insult to injury... The printer will go offline frequently, the instructions they provide on their customer support page are just useless and you will struggle every time you need to print something. Restarting, reinstalling will be your new routine. The irony of this is that I have decided to replace my older printer because it would disconnect from the network every now and then. If you go online you will find multiple reports of such problems. I thought since my printer was a bit older, 3-4 years, maybe a new one, designed for Windows 10 would prevent those issues. Silly me, the problem was not windows 10, was the brand. I was a big fan of HP. Most of my computers and all my printers were HP. I won't make that mistake again, this was my last HP purchase ever.

      Hi, Marco.

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve had such a dreadful time with your printer. It’s easy to understand why a difficult setup, early ink depletion, connectivity issues and inadequate instructional materials would be quite a jarring surprise after buying a new device. We want our customers to have easier and more reliable experiences than what you’ve endured, so I’ll offer a resource and some information I hope will help you make the most of your situation.

I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the various issues that have come up to see whether we can find solutions and get your printer to work more reliably and efficiently. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

Really like this printer! Easy and not huge! I did a lot of research before going with the 6455....it gives me the features I want/need and not a million bells and whistles I won't use! Great printer, great value!

Printer had few instructions, but prints great once it is set up. It will print from several devices, but I had to have assistance in making it print from my computer (which is the only device from which I care about printing).

Not even a year old yet. And stopped working. It keeps telling me to power on, and it is. I tried powering off and on. And unplugging, and re-plugging. It still won't work.
