First, I can’t tell from your review how long you’ve had the printer, how many pages you got from the cartridges, and whether those cartridges were the ones that came with the device or ones you bought from a retail source. I can’t say for certain what’s happened in your case, but some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges. These have lesser capacities than regular or XL replacement cartridges. The XL size cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 200 to 240 pages, while the regular sizes have estimated yields of 100 to 120 pages. Beyond that, here are some things you can consider:
- If it appears that a cartridge was low on ink to begin with, or that the poor page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, I recommend that you contact the seller who sold you the items.

- Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer “park” so that the nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper are protected from excess drying.
