I have just spent ANOTHER 3 hours on phone with HP support because i wanted to print one thing. They could not in 3 hours get it to work. It is a nightmare. In the 4 months I've had it i have had to call hp support about 6 times and usually could Still not get it to work. Maybe this one printer is a lemon.... but this is my 4th HP and this is the only one I've had issues with....

I had a friend try for 3 hours to do it, but in the end, I brought it back. The Geek Squad rep told me that I should have had them hook it up then when I got home someone would come to my house, for $50.00 and hook it up in my house. Yet the reviews said someone had it working in 5 minutes. Very unhappy with the Geek Squad rep.

I haven't changed the ink yet, nor have I printed out my first novel but, for the price, the font is above average, very little if any fuzziness. The price was worth the investment and I quickly realized that by utilizing the opinions of former purchasers to guide my decision, I may fare better by pulling the purchasing plug.

The ink was bought brand new from a store. It keeps sending me to Instant Ink but I cannot find the PIN on my printer and at this time would just like to buy ink when I need it. Now I have a giant paper weight that was actually used for a week. Spent more time trying to get it to work with the ink cartridges then using it.

I’m sorry that your printer has rejected ink cartridges that you purchased in a retail store, and that you’ve been unable to sign up for our Instant Ink program. I’m sure these roadblocks are not what you had in mind when you purchased the device, so I’ll offer some resources I hope will help you resolve both situations.
First, genuine HP ink cartridges do have a shelf life, and from what I gather in your review, the ones you bought might have passed theirs even though you just bought them. Cartridges have been known not to function a certain time after the “warranty ends” date that’s printed on them. I recommend that you check this date, and that you contact the store where you bought them. Explain what happened, and ask about a refund or exchange.
As for Instant Ink and your printer’s PIN, I just checked the manual for this model, and it says the PIN exists on a label on the device. “It might be near the cartridge access area inside the printer or on the back, side or bottom of the printer,” according to the manual. If you cannot find the PIN, I suggest you contact our Instant Ink program at +1-855-785-2777.
If the “warranty ends” date on the cartridges you bought suggest they should be viable yet the printer still rejects them, I recommend you contact us directly so we can help you assess the situation and find the best course of action.
