The only thing this printer knows how to print, is a diagnostics page. I worked in network management for 4 years in the military, and dealt with printers on a daily basis, and this paper weight is inexcusable. It’s “connected” to my network, with an “Excellent” signal strength, yet my print queue fills up, with no response from the printer. This printer takes more vacations than a retired couple with a timeshare in Hawaii. DONT BUY THIS THING.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has displayed a “connected” message yet failed to print items you send it. I can wholly understand why that would quickly become exasperating, so I’ll offer some resources and information I hope will help.

First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including wireless connectivity and print jobs that get stuck in queue. Visit that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

If the problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

I have spent multiple days trying to set up this printer, and have given up every time. I followed every single step and somehow something went wrong every time. My computer can't locate my printer, my printer can't connect to the wifi, etc. I bought a USB printer cable today to connect it to my computer, thinking's that would be the end of the problems, but failed once again to connect the printer to the wifi, and now the HP Smart will not close until I successfully do so, which I have concluded is virtually impossible. It absolutely doesn't help that there is no touch screen or information as to what the buttons or lights on the printer mean, simply a pamphlet instructing you to download HP Smart to complete the setup. I have no idea what is wrong, and suspect I never will.

This printer is pretty terrible. Lasted 9 months then crapped the bed. The ink heads are all jacked. This printer is like that hold music that goes on a loop because the company could not afford a full song. I mean why have a song at all? It’s cheap and it was all together cheap. The wifi is even crap. Get this if you want a printer that is worse than pretty much hand writing a pdf presentation.

App was easy to get. The biggest problem is it to sleep more like a coma. I have to to unplug it and restart it. Everything is touchpad and impossible to see when not lit when in sleep mode. We purchase this unit only because it was the only one left in the store and we need it one quickly. Probably a good unit if it is used a couple times during a day.

Unfortunately, I waited a little more than a month to set up the printer. I wanted the printed to use WiFi to print and found it is complicated for multiple family members to use. Literally printed one page and the printer on/off button doesn’t function properly. Have to unplug to turn off!! Since I waited to set up the printed I cannot return the item.
