  • Worst printer ever used at Shimadzu Scientific

    This printer is not wireless. It uses a USB printer type cable for data. It uses wireless for internet. You have to have both and they do not supply the USB cable. All HP Printers have serious problems. We used to OEM them at Shimadzu Scientific Instruments. You have to unplug the power cord every time you start your PC. Even our IT department, best in world, has times where nothing works and they will not print. Clear everything, unplug printer, restart PC, does not connect. The software "HP Smart" is the worst working broken software I have ever seen. It always picks wrong printer....It will shut down the printer when the black ink gets what they call low, 60+%. All HP Smart is programmed to do is sell you consumables and it makes all the decisions when it shuts you down. You have no input. This morning I'm at my wits end and tossing in the Rockville Garbage bin. Nightmare.

    I have purchased this HP printer and has been great use with no problems. I have not ran into any problems since I have purchased this. It is worth your time and money for personal and school purposes!

    Printer works great, it is extremly loud. Don't like to use during class hours, which is when I need to use it. Took several hours to set up and might only be working because I purchased a cord to plug into the printer to laptop.

    Bought this for my college student for her small room. It fits easily under her desk and takes up very little space. It is surprisingly fast for such a small machine, easy to set up and no problems with it so far. Great for the price.

    Like the looks of prints but very upset with issues on trying to connect to my computer and phone. Had three phone calls then finally PAID extra to have a tech come to the house. No instruction book to explain how. Still finding it difficult and unable to copy something I've printed. Salesperson should have explained

    Only recently purchased the HP Envy for a 76-year-old family member. The machine was relatively easy to set up alongside an All-in-One HP pc and connected (recognized) the residence WiFi without much difficulty.

    Easy setup. From unboxing to fully wireless printing in about 12-15 minutes. It’s quieter than the HP Envy 4520 it replaced. Has a decent feature to price point. The lighted output tray is neat.
