Returned to store because it was too difficult to connect to wi-fi. It shouldn't require a phD or special app to get connected. Why so complicated and not display screen? Waste of my time.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to learn that your printer has not performed reliably and has been difficult to use. I can understand why this, coupled with rapid ink use, would be a tremendous frustration. With that in mind, I’ll point you toward some resources I hope will help you get the printer working reliably like it should.

First, I recommend that you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various tasks and issues. There you’ll find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning difficulties. You can find the page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

Here are some facts on ink use that might help you get more prints without too much extra effort:
      - A high-density print (such as an image or graph) uses ink more quickly than a text-only document, particularly if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.
      - Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help save on ink, particularly the colors.
      - Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer to 'park' so that the nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper are protected from excess drying.

If you need further assistance, I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. Hi there.

I’m sorry that you’ve experienced connectivity issues with your printer and that now it frequently appears offline. Printer That Does It All

With the HP Smart App, setup is fairly simple. Just plug in the printer, install the app on your computer and follow the directions. You have the choice to connect via a USB port or to use Wi-Fi, you decide. If you want to print from your phone, you just need to download the HP Print Service Plug-In. This printer has a top feeder which holds up to 35 pages, so that you can place your documents in it and it will automatically pull the papers in to copy or scan them. It has a small footprint compared to other printers. I have too many devices cluttering my computer room and love that I can save even a little bit more room. If you want, you can scan old photographs, receipts, etc. with the flatbed style scanner and send them anywhere. You can also use this printer as a copier as with any all-in-one printer options. The paper tray holds up to 100 pages at a time which is nice if you have a small home business. This is not a fast printer, but it does print about 10 black and white pages per minute and 7 color pages per minute. One feature I really like for saving paper is that it prints on both sides of the page. This really comes in hand. The print quality is good, but I found that photo printing is mediocre compared to other printers I have had, but then again, they were more expensive. There is a 6 month free trial called Instant Ink that will send your ink in the mail when you sign up (during setup) for the subscription of your choice. Have your credit card handy. You will never have to worry about running out of ink again. It will be delivered right to your door. They have flexible plans you can choose from. HP will even give you prepaid packaging to send them your used cartridges to be recycled. HP knows when your ink is low and will send it straight to you automatically. If you don’t print the allotted amount of pages for your plan, the pages will rollover to the next month. If you print more than your allotted pages, you will automatically buy more sets of pages that will be put on your charge card. I never knew something like this existed and never used it because I didn’t want to have a huge stock of extra ink that I didn’t need. I find this very handy since I have been working from home. I don’t have to leave the house to get more ink. HP never fails to give a good quality printer for a good price. I have gone through a lot of printers in my lifetime and always find HP good to have good quality printers. This one is no exception.

      Hi, Priya.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has performed so poorly. Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer is going through so much ink. It concerns me that the cartridges you’ve received have performed so poorly. Even if you were printing mostly high-density prints, it does seem like you should have been able to print more.

Here are some things you can consider:
      - If it appears that a cartridge was low on ink to begin with, or that the poor page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, you can always contact the seller who sent you the cartridge about that.
      - Contact us if the supplies are defective genuine cartridges that are not replaced by the vendor (and they are still within the “warranty ends” date on the cartridges). Reach out to us via this link: support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

Here are some facts on ink use that might help you get more prints without too much extra effort:
      - A high-density print (such as an image or graph) uses ink more quickly than a text-only document, particularly if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.

I hate this printer. It is far too complicated because there is no control panel and i cannot find out how to use it at all. I had an HP Office Jet for 20 years, which I used for my small law practice, and I loved it. It had a great control panel which gave instructions when needed, did trouble shooting, and was very easy to use. I have the printer set up to my wifi, but it keeps going offline and there is no control panel so I cannot figure out how to use it at all. No idea. Can any provide guidance. I have had it for a week and I don’t know if I can bring it back now that I have personalized it. HELP!!!

After less than a year of use the document feeder stopped working to scan pages. Even though the glass scanner was useable for one page at a time, after scanning about 5 documents all the lights flash and you are unable to scan any more. I have also had to throw out brand new ink because for some reason it has rejected ink occasionally and gives an error message (yes it was the correct ink put in properly).

Ok, I'm having trouble trying to print from my computer to the printer. I heard that there are some problems with the HP printers with a MACos computer. What do I need to do to get this resolved??

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear your printer is not working like it should. Your review is relatively brief, but your frustration is clear – and totally understandable – so I’ll offer a resource and some information I hope will help.

I can’t tell from your review why your printer has not printed from your computer, so I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

Absolute piece of trash. Had it for 4 months now just for light printing. I've maybe printed 6 files from it totaling 30 pages or less and it's already broken. Opened up the paper tray to add more paper for the second time ever and the tray is already busted; It won't close and when I did managed to get it in, now its displaying a general error with no code or anything. Stay away from this printer, waste of 130 bucks,
