Really like this printer, but find that it uses ink too quickly, even just the black. We don't print a ton of stuff. so was surprised when the black ran out.

Purchased printer to replace failing epson inkject. Nice size, speed and feature. HP printout quality is better, and printer overall is more versatile. Availability of HP Ink is another option to consider.

I bought this primarily for photos and for wireless printing. The photo quality is great. I am doing large multi-generation history of the family in photos. Many of the photos are old and must be scanned in to make prints. The prints from these old snapshots are remarkably clean. It is slow, I think that is necessary for the detail I get. The only problem I have is that it is touchy about its wireless connection. Even though it is in the same room as the router, about 6 feet away, it seems loose the signal frequently. The HP I have in the same room doesn’t have this problem. So occasionally I have to go to the printer and setup the wireless. It’s a bit a nuisance, but, again, the photo quality is worth it

Great photo and document quality. Auto document feeder comes in handy when copying or scanning documents. With the HP smart App I am able to scan from the printer to my phone wirelessly.

This is a good quality wireless printer. It was very easy to connect to our laptops and phones. The only issue that I have with this printer the printer goes into "sleep" mode and then will not print until you go up to it and press the power button. I think this kinda defeats the "wireless" feature of the printer. Great quality photos.

So far no complaints. Easy set up and works like a charm.

Well as always it was time to replace my home printer. I wanted one that used only 2 ink units,e.g. black & multi color. This unit had everythiung I wanted at a good print. it's also compact and low profile.

The Envy 7640 is a great printer. Easy to install and use. I am able to print photos like a photo shop and the speed is much faster than my old printer. Also, being able to AirPrint is a wonderful bonus!
