The 1st one gave us a lot of trouble before it stopped working altogether, so I was expecting to replace it with something newer. Nevertheless, the price dropped considerably right around the Christmas-shopping timeframe, and my wife had already invested in ink that was worth nearly as much as the printer cost. So, rather than dump the ink, we got this replacement. Looking at our total printing cost, it also (for probably the 1st time) made sense to buy the extra warranty. Hopefully, this one will last longer than the 1st one. So far, so good.

Good but fragile

Downloading the new printer driver was easy, and it installed without any problems. In use,the printer extrudes an extension to its output chute, and the extension is thin plastic and appears vulnerable to breakage should one mistakenly bump into it -- thus my 'fragile' comment.
