I have heard some negative reviews on this printer but I don't see what they are talking about. Printer is pretty quiet good on ink and all the features work . I have scanned, copied, faxed, and of course printed with no issues. Good product.

I love the print quality of this HP printer and I love the convenience of having a wireless printer. It is so easy to press print in the kitchen and it comes out in the office. I haven't tried printing greeting cards or photos on it yet.

Bought printer as a gift for my dad -- was very easy to set up and install. I had my dad read the instructions and he was able to print out pictures as well two-sided printing. I was able to print a boarding pass from my iPhone. Best printer I've seen in a long time. I plan to buy one for myself soon.

Finally replaced my old Dell printer and picked the HP Envy. So far very happy with the printer, it was easy to set up and prints good copies. I did have a few paper jams but don't know if its me just getting use to a newer printer. I would recommend if your looking for something simple that does the job.

We had a hp printer for a number of years but it broke. I was so happy with its performance that we purchased another hp. I prints good, and we are able to print wirelessly with several of our other electronic items. The only thing I can say against it is it is not made as well as my other printer.

I primarily purchased this because of a good price that BB was offering and the HP Instant Ink service. I have had the printer for a couple months and it works great with my PC and Mac. Also printing and scanning on my iPhone and iPad work seamlessly. I am very happy with this purchase.

Printer works great wireless from several computers and devices. The only downside is the paper tray. The lid needs to go back on in order for it to print correctly. This makes printing single labels from word a bit of a pain. I haven't had any problems printing normal sheets of paper.

This printer replaced my old Photosmart that had gone bad. I am so pleased with the Envy 7640! It is quieter, and a little smaller than the Photosmart. It is also super easy to print from my iPhone, which I was never able to do on the Photosmart for some reason. I am very satisfied!

I am rather computer ignorant so I will just say this. Geek squad installed computer and printer. I have used the printer to make copies, and to print pages on the computer screen. So far the printer is doing a great job and is much faster and easier to use than my old Canon printer.

We've been using the printer for about 2 weeks and everything works great so far! Haven't done any scanning yet and probably won't use the fax capability. Setup was a breeze...unpacked it, plugged it in, downloaded driver on my iMac, set up iPhone and iPad to print remotely and everything has worked without a hitch. Photos print superbly as well as anything sent from the iMac. I'll let you know if I have any trouble using the scan or fax capabilities. Purchased the Instant Ink option with the printer and my first cartridges showed up just as my supplied cartridges were running low on ink. Hope everyone else has the same experience I've had. The only drawback I've seen so far is that the printer allows you to print 4"X6" and 5"X7" photos from the photo tray but I haven't been able to figure out if there is a way to print full 8 1/2"X11" photos with this printer. That's the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice on occasion.

Set up was pretty easy (and I'm not very techy). We just had added Wi Fi and had purchased a new Dell computer. So that being said, even though it was a little more complicated (a few more steps) setting things up, I could still figure things out! Love having everything being wireless!

Great wireless printer. Prints is great either as printer or copying. Although this was not an expensive printer, I decided to pay a little more to get a better quality printer. Setup was easy. It will print from cell phone, tablet or computer but I've only printed from my computer.

So far I am pleased with this printer. While it's not really doing what I wanted, which was a feeder for mass amounts of photos, I still think it is a great item at a great price. The printers that could do what I needed were way out of my price range. Very user friendly set up.

Background: I am starting life as a graduate student and needed a printer at home. Setup: In order to get stuff to print, the setup was easy. I bought a separate printer-USB cable to plug my laptop in whenever I need because I had trouble setting it up on my home network. I do not know if it is an issue with the printer or my laptop, but it is an easy thing to get around. The ability to print by sending an email is quite nice, but there is decreased flexibility there as far as printing double-sided, etc. Printing: My biggest complaint about this HP Envy printer is that it is quite loud and violent (for lack of a better term). It prints out in large sections at a time, occasionally enough to rock the stand it is sitting on. Most importantly, the printing quality is quite good though. I have printed over 100 sheets out and it has only had paper slip once. I have not tried printing high-quality photos, but the images on regular printer paper are very clear.

    BEST HP PRINTER YET!

When I started researching for a new printer, I saw something I'd not seen before, the HP Envy models. I asked a salesperson what the difference was between the Envy and Officejet (my current one) since both seemed very similar. They said it was the addition of photo printing. So here I had printers that could do almost anything. I chose this Envy 7640 printer because of all its features & excellent reviews. Plus it was on sale and too good of a deal to pass up. This model has everything you could want in a great day-to-day printer: 4-in-1, an easy-to-use screen, built-in memory, photo printing, dual paper (paper & photo) trays, automatic doc feeder & double-sided printing, ability to print/email (has its own address) from any device, cloud printing, NFC, USB & memory card slots, compact, lightweight, and with other features. Setup was easy. It found my wifi very quickly. Then I chose my preferences for printing and faxing using the screen. Next I added it to all devices and printed something from each. All worked perfectly. Then I went to www.hpconnected.com to manage the printer. Of course you'll first need to create an account. This is something everyone should do, especially if you want to share printing capabilities with family & friends. You can also change the email address for the printer. And it's a good site if you're having any trouble with your product. I've used the printer in almost every way so far, except for the 2 slots I mentioned. It's fast, especially in draft mode which I use most often. The quality is excellent even in draft which will save you on ink. I've printed pictures on regular paper and they're good. Of course, they'd be a lot better on photo paper. The auto doc feeder is great for sending faxes or copying many pages. This is the best HP printer I've ever had and I've had at least a dozen through the years. I've always bought HPs, even at my job, because I love the quality of their printing, and they last for a long time. My last one was the first to stop working properly, but was fixable. I decided it was time to update since that printer was over 6 years old, and I wanted one with better features and more compact. And, you can use HP's ink program which is a big plus as you will: never run out of ink, always have fresh ink, it's convenient (nothing you have to do), and it's very inexpensive. This is a money & ink saver, especially if you don't do a lot of printing because you won't have ink sitting around your home getting old. You can't go wrong with this printer. It's easy to use, has almost every feature you could want in a printer, you can print from anything, anywhere to it, and it's an HP . What more could you ask for!
