I bought and set up this printer about six weeks ago and so far, so good. I would have given it 5 stars but I haven't used it very much yet for an accurate and honest appraisal. Thumbs up if it continues as it has been so far. Very nice copies for a reasonably priced machine. I have other HP stuff in my home office and I like it all.

This all in one printer was very easy to install and hook-up to the network. It has worked well since installation with no problems.

We really like this printer. Holds a lot of paper and has separate tray for photo paper. Automatic document feeder for copies works good.

Easy setup. High quality printing. Print speed is good.

I have have always purchased HP printers in the past and they have been awesome. This one isn't the greatest. It sometimes wants to print and sometimes doesn't. Frustrating. When it does print, it is good. I still do like HP products, but maybe should've bought a high model.

Opertation of this printer is so easy. Setup was a breeze.

I had an HP Photosmart printer for several years with great satisfaction. . It began to lose its wireless connection after time so it was time to upgrade. I settled on the Envy 7640 for its features and price. When first installed everything seemed to work well. However after a few days the wireless failed and neither copying of multiple page documents nor scanning worked Even worse, every time I hard booted it, the copier memory reprinted partial pages of partially stored prints. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. No success. Went through almost a ream of paper. Called Geek squad and they came out to try to determine a cause. First trip out was not successful. Second Geek squad visit determined it must either be my 2 year old router or the printer. They ordered a replacement printer and came back the next morning to replace it. Reinstalled the drivers and printer and made sure everything was working. So far, 4 days later, everything is working. So long story short: Get a good one from the start and it works great. Thanks to Geek squad, mine now is. I do like the features and I registered for Instant Ink. We will see how that goes! (-:

Not always easy to get some of the more specialized items, such as photo printing, to work well, but overall good value for the money.

Easy to set up. Prints fast in color as well as B&W.

Works perfectly. Great value great quality. Really like the automatic paper holder so nothing ends up on the floor after printing.

Printer was easy to setup with wireless access to home network. And I really like printing from, scanning to my Android tablet.

Very easy to install and very good quality prints.
