This printer is worthless, I've had to install the software for it over four times and still doesn't show as being active. Even when it does work, trying to connect with it via a wireless connection doesn't work either. I will never buy another HP printer again. Pretty upset at this worthless product.

I purchased 1 and had problems with it not printing more than 1 page. I returned this one for another one of the same model and continued to have the same printing problems. I had a HP printer for 10 years and never had any problems with it. Needless to say I have returned the second one as well.

My wife had one, so I bought another. Months later her printer started acting up Not Communicating with the Computer. She couldn't print. After 8 months my printers claims I am out of black ink after changing the ink. Web says to get it serviced. Save your money and stay away from HP printers.

Printer wire is bad. Must be held and straightened or power won't come on. Difficulty printing PDF. I'll likely return it for something else. I always research first, but I was in a hurry.

Printed a few pages & then I was getting a message on the printer to check the ink cartridge. When I googled the problem it seemed to be an on going problem with the printer. Returned it the next day.

Works great, easy set up even connecting the fax line. It provides step by step instructions and comes with an online troubleshooting tool so when my slow Wi Fi needs time to think it helps it! I brought this brand because my children are homeschooled and have a lot of online submissions, so I needed a printer/scanner that works fast and easily, which this model does. It also has a port for transferring data via a memory stick, which I also like!

This is the best printer I've ever owned. Completely wireless, it can be placed anywhere. The easiest setup of any multi-function printer I've ever installed. I had become somewhat leery of HP of late but this product has renewed my loyalty. Best Buy has a great price for it too!

Good Overall Printer but Slow Scanning

    Posted .

I bought this to replace my PhotoSmart 7510. Overall, they are fairly comparable as far as print quality. Even on draft mode, black print quality is good, color is ok. Photo quality is also good. The PhotoSmart prints photos a tiny bit better but if I wasn't able to compare photos printed on each printer side by side I doubt I'd notice the difference. Scan quality for both pics and documents is good, comparable to the PhotoSmart. The big difference between the Envy and the PhotoSmart is scanning & copying speed. The Envy is MUCH slower when it comes to scanning and scanning & copying. I work at home and do a lot of scanning & copying so this may be an issue. But I got the Envy for a great price so I'll live with it for a while and see how it goes. I love the fact that it has only 2 ink cartridges versus the 5 that the PhotoSmart uses. I haven't used it long enough to really gauge how much ink it uses; I'm hoping it will be better than the PhotoSmart, which goes thru ink like crazy! One odd feature is the tray that catches the paper after it prints. When I unpacked the printer and removed the tape from the tray, it automatically popped out. I pushed it back in to keep it out of the way and then couldn't get it to pop out again. I thought I broke it. Turns out, it automatically pops out when a print job is sent to the printer. Or, if you remove the tray, there is a "button" on the underside which will release tray. Thought I'd mention this as I spent a good deal of time searching the little info that came with the printer and found nothing to help me. Overall the Envy is a good printer, I would have given 5 stars if not for the slow scanning speed.

This product is way below my expectations. I do not plan to but anything from Best Buy again. The sales people recommended this product to me. It is far below my standards. I have had nothing but trouble with it.

This printer is effortless to set up. I chose the set up via my laptop rather than using the mobile app. Didn't need the set up disc that came with it. After a very short time it was all up and running. The quality of the print is excellent and it is relatively very quiet. Have had several printers and the only ones that never give any grief are HP ones. This one is no exception I would highly recommend it.
