    Not impressed

This printer set up well and is replacing my Photosmart 6510 that performed adequately for a few years. The scanning was fine, low quality unless you really work the settings, 300 dpi is not enough for my tastes. It can do 600 dpi with a few settings adjustments. This machine automatically took my 8X10 and made it full size 8.5x11 which distorted the image. It looked fake and dark compared to the original. I scanned the image to a USB drive and enhanced the image, when I brought it back to the printer... no go. I cannot print from the USB drive, it got half way through a 8x10 and stopped. Just stopped. Then it says print cancelled when I try to print a 4x6, every time. This is not good. I am very unimpressed with this device, after 1.5 prints I'm almost half way done with the combo 3 color pack. I think I'm going back for an Epson. Sorry HP this is a continuation of nagging issues I've had for years. I'm all done.

Only 2 inks to Buy instead of 5

Replaced an older Hp the the paper feed went bad on. This one only has two inks unlike the old one that had 5. I always buy my ink from hp online and called them to see if they would swap the back up inks for the old printer that are still new in the box and Hp customer service said sorry about your luck.

Im a freshman entering college and i needed to purchase a All in one printer. This was ideal, when i went to go pick it up and i brought it home plugged it in. And as i was setting it up it asked me to install the ink cartridges that CAME with printer. I looked everywhere in the box and nope, no ink. Was disappointed.

    Frustration with error messages

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

A frequent error message pops up on this printer saying that the "Photo Tray is Blocked" etc. when it isn't and there aren't any other problems. A hard reboot sometime solves this but most often not. The printer is almost nonfunctional and I am thinking of taking it back, unless HP comes up with a working firmware upgrade of some sort. Too bad.

    Paper feeder jams every time

Brand new out of the box one of those worst performing products I have ever purchased in my life. I set up according to instructions, and the only thing it does is print. Paper feeder jams every time, wi-fi drops signal without fail when scanning, etc. Scanner and copier are useless unless you want to flatfeed each page and use a USB connection to your computer. The only good thing I can say about it is that they double backed the 25 pieces of blue tape holding all the cheap plastic together to make it easy to unpackage it. Simply terrible.

    Set up is a challenge

Use the disk to set up. Do not use 123hp.com unless you want to pay a service charge of $100. Glad I passed on 123's help. Set up takes an hour with the disk but the device appears to work-- but this is day 1.

    Deeply disapointed

This is the worst HP printer I have ever had. The general printing isn't terribly bad but the photo printing is absolutely terrible. The touch screen never works like it is suppose to and the pictures are fuzzy at best.

    Failed out of the box

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Set up the printer out of the box and the ink cartridges included in the box could not be read. It took a while to find a phone number for HP to call. Finally got to someone who ran me through some tests to no avail. He said he would overnight new ink cartridges, as that might be the problem, and call me the day after that. HP then shipped cartridges regular ground and I had to spend another hour on the phone to get that corrected. Not yet sure if the printer will work, but HP customer service has been abysmal, not to mention that their out of the box product does not work.

    Regret this purchase

I regret purchasing this printer six months ago. Here's why: - The network connection is very unreliable. - Over half the time I need to print something, I have to unplug the printer because it is unresponsive to my computer or manually pressing the touch display. - Awful ink usage (even selecting draft quality and using XL ink). I don't get anywhere close to the estimated pages/cartridge. I used an HP PCS1350 for over 10 years without a single complaint. I regret "upgrading."

Touch screen on printer failed in six months.

The touch screen failed after six months of very light use. Best Buy instructed us to bring the printer to their store in Brentwood, CA so they could send it to HP for repair that would take two to six weeks. We did exactly that but upon arrival at the store, were told they could not do that. They offered us the opportunity to buy a new printer for $24.00 less than the sale price. I will not again shop at Best Buy and warn consumers to shop there at their own peril.

Minimalist printer with "cheapest' ink cartridges

Needed to replace an HP printer -- "printheads problems -- hoped to get one to use the ink cartridges that I had on hand. BUT nope!! This Envy printer uses cartridges of 'color' and 'black' and was on sale.
