Printer performs flawlessly !! Great product !! Always HP !!

This is the most unreliable printer I have ever used. It will not stay connected. Will not even stay powered up. Clearly the means of feeding paper is flawed. I fully appreciate that printers are all about selling ink, but I won't be buying any ink as I cannot print anything! As other reviewers have said, "Piece of Junk" is exactly what this is. As a big fan of Best Buy, I am disappointed that they sell this item. Hopefully they will discontinue it before too many more customers are similarly angered.

This printer does fine - WHEN IT WORKS... Google search HP7640 wont come out of sleep mode and you will find there are very frustrating issues with this machine NOT waking up to print. I have on-line chatted with HPs support and they were unable to get the thing to work, even after using LogMeIn to take control of my computer. Physically unplugging this machine was the ONLY way to get it to work again. Not an elegant solution...

I don’t like it. It broke easily and wasted our money.. but convenient to use tho

Part of the time it works ok and then it won't print anything. It sounds like it is printing but the page comes out blank. Could someone help me with this?

I have had this printer for less than a year and it's been nothing but trouble, Won't turn off, sometimes won't turn on, won't print, error messages sending faxes, it's been nothing but a headache.

Worst possible customer service I have ever experienced ! If you buy this printer, buy the insurance, you're gonna need it !

I got a certified refurb 1.5 years ago. It was under warranty. Since then, I have had 3 more of them. They worked OK for a few months, then little glitches started, then big, honking glitches, like printing blank sheets with half-full OEM cartridges. I am NOT replacing half-used cartridges with full ones! The unit I have now has never faxed anything but a test sheet. The dumb thing tells me I don't have a stable phone connect, which is BS. I have hours on the phone with their techies for each of all 4 machines (which is how I wound up with 3 more certified refurbs). This has a lot of great features and got a lot of good reviews. But it is nothing but garbage! I am sick and tired of it! I will never buy HP again. The "instant ink" is BS too. I have never been able to get the connection with to work. GARBAGE!!!GARBAGE!!!GARBAGE!!!GARBAGE!!!GARBAGE!!!

The top part where you feed the paper to make copies is bad. After a month of use, all copies printed with lines. The only way to make clear copies is to put the sheet of paper on the glass. Not a happy camper.

I bought this printer on based on my own experience with HP printers and the good reviews of this printer. I tried twice. I wanted to like the printer. It had all the features I needed, wifi, IOS compatibility, fax scan, color cheap ink. But the first one I got the top feeder wouldn't work. Took it back and got another one just like it. This time the top feeder worked and the printer worked great. But it stopped working suddenly and wouldn't even turn on. It was DOA for no reason. So I'm off to look at another printer. It probably isn't gonna be an HP and certainly not this model.

Disappointed and will be returning. Set-up process is not working and printer is in a loop. It will turn on, but goes through a series of screens, ending with a blue screen with error code B8BA6CC0, then tells me that there is a problem with the printer and turn it off/turn it back on. No help in manual or at HP online. Google search shows that this is a known problem, and that I need to reset printer and download firmware?? Not worth the trouble...will be returning it. Was hoping for straight forward set-up.

This is the worst printer I have ever had and that includes the Canon with the faulty printer head issue. It's horribly noisy and has a really hard time printing on anything other than 8 1/2 x 11 paper. Photos are a fight and it doesn't recognize envelopes at all.

Where do I start with this one? It will only print half of a page for starters, and I've tried many online workarounds to no avail. It doesn't wake up from sleep mode and you have to manually restart it. I've been using it to print postage labels since they are only half a page, but now the prints are coming out blurry (and this is after maybe 10 prints). I'll never buy an HP printer again.

I have owned this printer for a few years now, and what should be a simple task usually takes huge chunks of my time and money. It does not seem to be able to print more than one page without an error. This gets incredibly expensive as I print photos and waste tons of paper and inks on any job that is more than one page. I am really very unhappy with this printer.....

This printer is good when it works but it is constantly having issues with paper jams. I get a paper jam message even when there isn't a paper jam (just needs more paper!) I will be returning this printer.
