Minimum Set up time, only two cartridges to simplifies things ( they still aren't cheap) Prints great, wireless is a snap, apple print is fantastic. Great job HP.

This printer was extremely easy to set-up. Bought it for the fax feature and was apprehensive about how it would work. Just plugged the phone cord in and that was it! Needed to use it the next day and it worked without any problems. Would have given the printer 5 stars except the scanner feature did not come with OCR software like my previous HP printer

Let me start off by saying I have always preferred HP printers over others. I have had quite a few that have lasted years and the ink tends to outlast most other brands. However, I returned the first HP Envy 7640 I purchased because it was making a high pitch noise whenever it would enter standby mode. I figured maybe it was just a bad unit, so I exchanged it for another. The same thing is happening with the second unit. The sound emanates from the power source (left rear of unit) only when it is in standby mode. Maybe I have super dog like ears? But the sound is there. The only way to stop the sound is if the screen is constantly on or you unplug the unit. So if you place the unit near your computer, you too may be subjected to this noise. Other than that, the printer is a little slow but gets the job done. The unit feels overall more flimsy than my past HP officejet and other HP models, but I guess that is pretty much the same of everything made nowadays.

Good price and good value. It was very easy to install and very nice that I can print from phone & iPad. The price of ink is a little expensive, but I am hopeful that it uses the ink more efficiently than my Kodak printer did.

I had told mysel 'never again' on HP printers after several terrible experiences and a complete loss of interest in cartridge extortion.
High volumes of great reviews and significant Holiday discounted offers swayed me to give it a try. I even decided to try the monthly instant ink program.
So far...surprisingly satisfied. I was expecting to find a nightmare of crummy engineering or terribly abusive business philosophy hidden behind gadgetry gimmick.
Instead, this printer appears to be a delivering product that I was happy with price and performance on. I'm still in honeymoon phase, and I will update if things change.

I'm so happy with this printer. I've been an HP fan for many years and this one doesn't disappoint. It's extremely easy to set-up and you're off in running in about 15 minutes. You can print and scan via WI-FI. I can be sitting upstairs and print something downstairs and it works every time. When you scan something, you can set it up to e-mail or set-up as a network scan. The cartridges are inexpensive and last forever. This is a great at-home printer that could really be used in a business setting.
The only con to this, is that if the printer loses WI-FI connection with your computer, it does take a little finagling. It's not intuitive, so it might take some time to learn the connect trick for your unit.

I must say I am very pleased with my new HP-Envy 7640 Wireless e-All-in-One Printer-Black. So far it's providing all my needs of a printer/copier. Not to mention, I am still learning how to utilize the other great features it has to offer (photo, fax and scanner). That being said, I am sure I made a good purchase...more for my bucks!!!!

We bought this printer to replace an older one. Set up was simple and connecting to the network was very simple. Haven't had a chance to use the picture printing yet. Everything else is working great. I would recommend this printer to anyone looking to buy a All in One.

Needed a printer for light home and office use, so far so good. Easy set up and clear printing, we aren't doing any picture printing yet so no thoughts on that. Seems like a good value, especially when on sale.

I'm an IT Consultant who often works from home. I occasionally have the need to print and/or scan/email documents. The print speed per page is fair; with a quality output. The scan & email feature is great. While the speed of the feeder and the actual scanning of each page of a document is fair, the emailed document certainly meets a good standard.

Good quality printer. I really like the two sided printing feature. It is lot faster than my old Officejet 6500. I was frustrated to learn it did not come with OCR software. One would think a printer with scanning capability woul be capable of scaning to editable text. I was able to find a very reasonable and effective OCR software from a third party,

My old printer just quit on me so I had to go out immediately and get a new one because I operate my small business out of my home, and use the printer for that and home, especially for pictures. I noticed this was the only all-In-one that had WiFi printing, (from all of our devices) and the ability to print from a flash drive, not just a camera insert. It also fits in our limited space and it takes multiple sheets into the feed for copying and scanning. The printing quality looks as if it came from a laser printer - plus, our Best Buy associate was able to give us a great deal on it because of their price match - it was on sale at another store, so Best Buy matched it! All in all a great product and experience!

This printer is a great printer for overall usage. It does print photo prints, in addition to documents as well. As lots of features, including AirPrint and Wireless Direct Printing. Make sure to get the Instant Ink to go with it because it makes ink usage a no-brainer.
