I never set up a fax machine before so was apprehensive, but I simply plugged in the cables needed and followed the simple set up directions and it worked from the get go.

I've have this printer for a month now and it is performing very well so far. Beautiful photo copies. Fairly quiet and starts up reasonably quick. If you buy an HP printer, make sure you sign up for the Instant Ink Program. The standard cartridges don't last that long and the Instant Ink cartridges are a lot larger, even when compared to the XL. You can select a printer page level that fits your particular usage. With a 50 page use per month I chose the $2.99/mo. program that get a year of refills for $36. That's cheaper and more convenient than buying replacement or refill ink. It's a no brainer. The printer communicates with HP and orders your refills before you run out. As soon as you sign up, they send you refills so you don't have to wait for your 1st replacement. You might be eligible for a month or so free if the program is still going on. The setup cartridges get used up fairly quickly. So if you don't get the Instant Ink, you might consider buying some extra ink right away.Setting up the printer took a little more effort than I anticipated. Make sure you set the print preferences for each Print Shortcut using the HP Printer Assistant Program. Print speed is Ok, but not great. If you set the printer to Max resolution in the advanced settings, It bumps the res to 4800 x 1200 DPI, which accordingly slows down the print speed. I very pleased with the printer so far as my learning curve improves.

I needed a new printer - my 7yr old printer was fading fast. I'm still trying to decide if I love this one or not. On the plus side: it only needs 2 ink cartridges; print quality is excellent; prints on both sides without extra accessories; has an "ink-saver" option; you can choose to activate the fax or not. On the down side: it's all touch screen, and I've accidentally turned it off several times; the ink cartridges don't last nearly as long as I would like them to; and it can't decide if it really has been formatted for scanning. I guess the bottom line is that it was on sale, and is a good unit for what I paid for it.

Probably one of my favorite HP Printers! It's easy to set up (less than 5 min for my Macbooks) a little longer on Windows machines. Virtually no "set up" needed when printing from an iPhone or iPad. Being able to print remotely by sending to the printers email address is a great feature and I use it more often than I thought. Picture quality is better than I expected for a multi-function printer.

Bought this to replace a several year old HP printer. This Envy 7640 is a big improvement. Faster, great printing, but noisier than old one. Would like color other than black.

The key features needed in a small Home Office in addition to print, include Fax and Scan, and Copy. The array of documents that must be dealt with require these tools. This HP All-IN-One is both an upgrade and a simpler unit to operate than our previous HP All-in-One. We evaluated the options, and selected this model. We are very pleased with the compact size and clean performance. And it's wireless!

I have used my HPEnvy.7640 printer for about a month. The printer was very easy to setup. It has worked flawlessly. I am very pleased and do not hesitate to recommend it.

This printer has so many functions, it can print, copy, scan and fax. It is user friendly and plus Wi-Fi capable to print and easily installable with original installation CD.

Easy to use; there is also an app that allows you to print from your phone when you are not at home; I wish the printer was a little faster but you definitely get a great value

This has proven to be a great wireless all-in-one printer. Prints, scans, and copies fast and produces good, clean images. Prints crisp photos, and scanning to email is easy. It was a little difficult to set up, and the instructions could be clearer, more complete, and more helpful. The paper and photo tray functioning is unnecessarily complex and sensitive, requires too many steps. Overall, good product.

prints great photos, has given me no issues. My daughter bought one and I followed her lead after she gave me some pictures that she printed off of hers!!

It was easy to install and setup. I had received a bad color cartridge in the box and after HP support could not fix it, they sent me a one. Good product, good service.

I have bought HP printers for years. They always prove to be the best and most economical as well. My HP Envoy does everything a multi-function printer is supposed to. It is fast and best of all is the wireless capability. Just love being able to print color photos I took with my cell phone directly and wirelessly to this printer. Sweet!!! Best of all is that it was easy to set up and it worked first time!

Great printer that allows everyone in the house print what is needed from all over the house. The picture quality is also amazing and the speed at which it prints is nice too.

Great printer, easy to use. The wireless was a little difficult to setup and would create its own network that didn't jive with ours but that could've some "operator" issues.

Easy set-up & works perfectly every time. I especially like being able to print direct from my SmartPhone. What a time saver!!

A little difficult to set up, but it is a reliable printer so far. It has a document feeder and is a lot faster than the previous HP we had connected to the shop computer.
