Over the years (I go back to DOS and dot matrix printers), I have found nothing so consistently reliable as an HP printer. My printing/scanning needs are generally low, but can unexpectedly need to do a 100+ page job.The Envy 7640 takes c of my needs. The only function I cannot personally recommend is the fax as I have not yet needed to fax anything -- but I am a sure it would work like a charm if I ever do need it.

Does what I need and easy to operate. It was easy to set up and use. Also. it fit well in the space available for the unit.

Has all the features I printer needs. Scan, fax, copy, print. Sleek design, WiFi capable, good price. Easy to use interface.

This printer was easy to setup. I like that it is not noisy and it prints quickly. This is the best printer I have purchased to date

I bought this printer when my HP Photosmart EStation died and I wanted something in the same or near category.I find the features of this printer very exciting such as automatic two-sided printing as well as the document feeder and built in fax capabilities.I am also pleased to find that this printer requires only two ink cartridges as opposed to the five that my previous printer required.Also,this unit is HP Instant Ink ready...which I have already signed up for as I consider it a great deal!I have read other reviews on here complaining about this printer being 'noisy" and "bulky"..I don`t find my printer to be noisy at all and it is certainly no larger than the Estation it replaced..All in all,I find this printer to be an exceptional value and I highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a printer.

I am pretty happy with this purchase. It was very easy to set up the printer. Once connected to home wireless, i am able to trigger print from any laptop on the computer. I have tried scanning a few documents and it came through good. Also, I have tried its automatic document feeder and it's pretty hand too. this printer has lot of features and I am still exploring some of those.

Just started my own small business and needed a printer. After reading countless reviews of many different products, I decided to stick with HP as it's a brand I am accustomed to and trust it's reliability. I'm really happy with this product. Print quality is great, setup was easy and I can now print from any device I own (laptop, iPad, iPhone etc). Only took off one star as I can't scan / copy two-sided documents without having to re-insert the document. But I think that's minor.

I had to replace my all in one printer quickly. I really wanted one with just two ink cartridges so this was my choice. Its a great price. I like the offer of instant ink but my first month proved that program isn't for me. I printed more than 500 pages with no problems. Paper tray is easy to load and I love that it is wirelessly accessible even on my phone. Love this printer.

The product was very easy to set up and readily connected to all my OS, Windows and Android electronic devices. No problem with the product so far, not an extensive user though. Very pleased to have bought the product. I was actually just shopping for a flatbed scanner, but since the price of this printer is not that far from a plain flatbed scanner, I bought this instead. The Best Buy associate was very helpful and patient with me throughout the purchasing process.

I love this printer so far. It prints great quality looking pages. I haven't printed out a picture yet but I'm sure it'll be great looking too. The two-sided printing is a must when you have to print out a lot of pages it saves you by using less printer paper. Even though I don't have to fax but every once in a while I wanted a printer with that feature when I needed to do so. I'm so glad I did get that feature because I had to fax some papers the other day and it worked like a charm. The only thing I don't like and that's why I didn't give this 5 stars is that when you want to make copies of a two-sided paper it doesn't have a duplex feature for copies so you have to manually turn each page over to copy the other side. Also, I love the HP Instant Ink program, where you pay per month depending on how many sheets you print out. I purchased the $4.99 per month plan which gives you 100 prints per month and if you go over you just pay per sheet or you can upgrade to the $9.99 plan which I think you get 500 prints per month whenever you think you need more prints per month. When your ink gets low your printer will automatically order you more ink and ship it to you. So instead of having to go and buy the expensive ink from the store which costs I think around $60 for the black and color you can just pay that low amount per month and save hundreds per year on ink.

I recently bought this printer to replace the Epson I had bought about a year before. Had lots of problems with the Epson printer so bought HP which I have had before. Definitely better and I like that it is wireless although it takes a little learning for scanning to computer. Also, when printing 2 sided pages it is kind of noisy when taking the paper back for second side.

When my old HP printer died, I only wanted another HP printer. I did a lot of research & read a lot of reviews. This particular printer has not only met my expectations but it is so much better than I anticipated! So very easy to hook up to my home network, synced perfectly with my laptop & my phone. It's been a breeze to use! And the quality & speed in downloading & printing has been measurably great! Oh & it's so quiet!

This printer is top of the line yet not expensive. Wireless, fax and scan features attracted me and I was not disappointed. Setup was fast and print quality is excellent. Handsome compact model. Minor negative is occasional message concerning paper tray issues that usually aren't accurate.

This printer does is it all and is a breeze to set up. It's high quality at a very nice price!

HP representative was our salesman and encouraged us to get into their ink program...that is very worthwhile.

We bought this printer to replace our Canon printer, which was costing us a huge amount of money for cartridges. Anyway the HP envy 7640 for the money is very good. Its great for for everyday printing...emails, coupons, basic photos. I compared the picture quality to the Canon and the canon was MUCH nicer, but considering the cost to run the canon, the HP is fine. I would highly recommend this printer for everyday printing. NOT for High quality photo printing.

Great combo printer, scanner and fax. Easy to use. Printed pages are very clear. I recommend this printer.

The printer works as advertised. Good quality. Nice feature set. We use it entirely wirelessly and have had no problems. Previous HP printer would regularly have problems disconnecting from WiFi network - this one has not had those problems. However, after two weeks it developed a high pitched hum. A part was failing. A chat with HP and they sent a replacement part which fixed the problem. So the printer is great but 4 stars for a part that failed that quickly.

I've purchased this printer after I was stuck with an Epson printer (ink eater) for few month. This HP seems to be an ink saver, Very good quality, was very easy to connect to my network and WIFI enabled devices. Haven't tried the photo printing yet or the mobile printing. I have joined the HP ink delivery program and the protection plan from Geek Squad so now am not worried about running out of ink or worrying about fixing it if anything go wrong.

It’s a good printer so far, but kind of expensive for what it is. It’s pretty loud and ink goes kind of fast(always buying ink), but I do like how it prints out fast. All in all it’s easy to manage through the settings and I highly recommend getting a printer cable with it(doesn’t come with it). The printer cable comes in handy a lot for me whenever I need to print something and don’t have internet or it’s down.
