Customers are positive about the ENVY 7640's print quality, ease of use, and wireless functionality, with many praising its compact size and quiet operation. The printer's fax capabilities and ease of setup also receive favorable feedback. However, some customers express concerns about the paper tray's design and sturdiness. More time is needed to assess the printer's long-term reliability.

My favorite feature is that it is wireless so no extra cables running to the computer! Highly recommend this printer.

Nice printing, quickly either from the network or direct. HP does most of the setup work whether it is for direct wireless printing or printing over the network. Faxing and copying both work well and are easy to use.
Everything is accessable from one icon on the desktop which makes it really easy to get into using the printer.

Was a little worried about buying another HP since the last one didn't last over 2 years and I don't use it a lot. This one was very easy to setup and so far is working better than the last one ever did! Print quality seems good and loading photo paper if I choose to print pictures is really easy to do.

While I prefer my old printer, this one is quicker. However, the black cartridge that came with it ran out really quick.

I have been using the HP Photosmart Printers for a few years, and I really was spoiled because they were great and printed excellent photos! Unfortunately, they also ATE a lot of ink! I couldn't find anymore HP Photosmart printers like the latest version I had. In fact, they don't make them, now. I kept getting led to reviews about the HP ENVY series and decided it would meet my needs. It uses less ink, too! Plus, I joined the new HP Instant Ink program, which should save me money. I was just worried about the quality of the photo printing as the ENVY 7640 doesn't have six ink cartridges. NOT A PROBLEM! The photos print out beautifully, and they don't bleed! The only difference in the printing options is that the top loading feeder doesn't do 2-sided printing. I mean, it will print 1 to 2 sided, just not 2-sided to 2-sided. That feature was probably why my printer but the dust earlier than it should have - right after warranty expired! Anyway, the ENVY was super easy to hook up - wireless! Took me only minutes!

Fast, clear copies, fairly easy to set up. My only issue is the buyer must also do things with their computer to get the final connection and this is not made clear in the printer set-up instructions. But if the buyer understands the workings of their computer than this shouldn't be much of a problem.

Picked this up about a month ago. The setup was very easy--connecting wirelessly with my network and local devices. First page printing is pretty quick, certainly fast enough for a home office printer. Quality is fine though we haven't tested high quality photo prints yet. Very pleased so far.

All I needed was a basic printer. This works fantastic so far. Maybe had it a month with almost daily use. I've never had luck with printers however, they always seem to die out by the time it needs it's second ink cartridge. Setup was easy and I currently have it connected via wifi. No issue.

Have been a Canon printer fan for many years, However, after looking at the specs and performance of the HP 7640 vs the equivalent priced Canon, I chose this unit. The network and BT connection between this printer and my new HP computer went fairly easy, w/o having to use the supplied installation CD. However, to wirelessly connect my other HP computer to the printer, after numerous tries I had difficulty doing so (I checked the network connections, drivers, etc, and found all OK, but could not print). With nothing to lose, I decided to try the printer installation CD on the second computer and succeeded making the connection and was then able to print from either computer (that;s why 4 stars). I've been using this printer now for 2 months and find its performance satisfactory. It's fast and has excellent print and copy quality. Ink consumption is a little more than I'd like it to be, perhaps a little higher than my Canon. Haven't yet used the FAX or photo printing functions, but plan to do so in the near future.

Works perfect from home and is convenient for work and personal use. The ability to print from my phone directly also saves time. Printing, including pictures is very sharp and clear. A great buy for the price. Set up was pretty simple including the wireless connection to all my devices.
