It is better than I expected, fast, enough memory, I like it

The desktop worked perfect right of the box and everything has gone very smoothly. It's amazingly quite and is fast. I won't really get a feel for the performance until I start working on my next HD video project where old system had troubles.

In the specs section I saw 3.2 Gigahertz processor speed and bought this tower. When I came home I was excitingly setting it up and I just checked what are the specs in real. Guess what; it is 2.7 Gigahertz instead of 3.2. That was my decisive point on this purchase and now facing this. I wrote to Bestbuy customer support about it and they don't seem to be very sorry about it, he is now looking for another computer to replacement that is in the same price range and he mentoned that I will need to pay if he comes up with some computer that is more expensive than this. This is not what I was expecting from Bestbuy, even the brands you guess the best may turns out to be not as good as you think.

Excellent speed good graphics and all features we needed

The computer was easy to set-up (connect to peripherals) and has adequate USB ports. 1 star knocked because, although this happened only once, went into continuous boot loop and had to restore it by reinstalling win10.

I really enjoy all the power and features of this computer compared to others. The only negative so far is the UCB ports are on the top side and a bit hard to easily reach. I must prefer them to be on the front for easy access.

Great PC for the $549 sale price. Easy setup and works great. Comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Most other PC's I looked at had a wired keyboard and mouse. Only thing I don't like is the USB and memory card reader slots are all on the top facing the back at a 45 degree angle. Is a pain to use if under a desk.

The odd thing and concern on this one is the cd drive is sideways instead of flat and feels flimsy and easily breakable. Supposed to be faster than my older computer, however I have not found any noticeable difference.

Gold specs for $550 when it's on sale. You won't be able to play newer games on ultra high quality out of the box, but most would probably run well on medium or low. Great storage space, great ram.

I would recommend this machine to any casual pc user. It is not a hard core gaming rig, but it does offer expandability that should make it a decent game rig. The power supply is only 300 Watts, but there are entry level videocards that don't need alot of power. Look at some Nvidia gtx 750 powered cards. Several have lower power requirements and are short enough to fit in the HP Envy's case. More power hungry cards, if they fit, can work if you upgrade the power supply. Best Buy offers some cost effective power supplies in the 500-600 Watt range. This is about as far as you'll likely get on the upgrade path, though. Internal and external drive bays are limited or non-existent. All in all, for a casual user, this pc should last many years.

Upgraded my desktop PC after 5 years to this and it works as expected. I'm not really a gamer so if you need a solid machine for everyday use, this fits the bill.

I REPLACED AN OLDER DELL COMPUTER WITH THE VISTA OPERATING SYSTEM. WHILE WINDOWS 10 WAS A CHALLENGE, I FIND THIS TO BE A COMPETENT COMPUTER, CONSIDERING THE DRASTIC CHANGE IN OPERATING SYSTEMS, MY BIGGEST HURDLE.

I leaped all the way from Vista operating system to Windows 10. So am struggling but have not had time with Christmas prep to explore everything. Check back with me in 6 mo. and i might be better or worse? YIKES!
