Crashes on Updates

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Less than an hour after setting up new computer, and having installed a couple programs (Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat Reader) I received a notification that an update was needed. I clicked the update icon, which directed to the update menu, where I selected to allow the computer to update and restart. Only problem was that computer never restarted, instead only revealed black screen with the HP logo. Let it sit there for an hour. Had to do a hard reboot several times by holding in the power button. Finally allowed me to restore to factory defaults, which obviously erased all the programs I had just installed. Went through process a 2nd time, unfortuneately, exact same thing happened. Returned the computer to Best Buy, received a 2nd computer, exact same model. And guess what, same thing happened to same computer. Have since returned the 2nd computer, am now shopping for a Lenovo.

Started Crashing within a month of purchase

I tried to get help with Best Buy and they do not back any warranty - they told me it was HP's issue - they just sell them. HP was horrible and I regularly have crashes several times a week. The most common is "kernel mode heap corruption" which I think is a memory or drive issue. I would not recommend this computer or purchasing it at Best Buy.
